The photos of this maid outfit Ganyu Cosplay are finally ready, so I'm here to share this set of convention photos. The curly blue hair paired with a white lace-trimmed headpiece gives a very refreshing visual impression. The skirt features a double-layered design: the outer layer is a soft blue-violet tulle, while the inner layer consists of a white lining and lace ruffles, with red tassels accenting the sides to add a pop of bright color to the overall palette. To complement the playful coquettishness of the costume, red ribbons were specially chosen as accents on the headpiece. The black strapping around the waist and the golden embellishments at the back provide the dress with rich, distinct layers.
On the day of the convention, I wore Black stockings paired with patent leather Red-bottom high heels. The patent leather heels have a glossy sheen that reflects light wonderfully, though finding the exact angle to capture the red sole was essential to bring out the effect. The Black stockings performed admirably under the harsh lights of the convention hall, visually slimming and elongating the leg lines. The heels are quite high, which definitely tested ankle endurance after standing for so long, but for aesthetics, I just had to persevere. Different poses were selected during the shoot: Photo 1 shows resting my chin on my hand while seated on a stool, specifically intended to highlight a well-behaved, docile charm. Photo 2 is a close-up lying on a white fleece rug with legs raised, tailored specifically to showcase the red soles and the snug fit of the Black stockings. Photo 4 captures looking back over my shoulder; that pose really tested core strength and required tucking in the abdomen to flatter the curve of the back.
To elongate the legs in frame, the photographer intentionally used a telephoto lens and lowered the camera position. The shooting environment was inside the convention hall, with light stands, stairs, and blurred silhouettes of people in the background; this gives convention photos a stronger narrative feel, conveying the bustling atmosphere on-site. The grey concrete floor actually served as an effective backdrop that made the blue-and-white maid dress pop even more. A cosplayer doing Shenhe was also nearby at the time; I originally wanted to snap some joint photos together, but it was far too crowded and we ran out of time, so we'll have to schedule a shoot next time. Although the convention was packed shoulder-to-shoulder, making touching up makeup and adjusting clothes quite troublesome, working with the photographer to capture these confident moments was truly an enjoyable experience.
