[Misono Mika cosplay] Live at China International Comics Festival (CICF): Sharing This Blue Archive Shoot Record

The Convention photos from China International Comics Festival (CICF) are finally organized! This time I brought Misono Mika from Blue Archive to life. Preparing for this character was actually more intricate than expected: the wig is that vibrant, signature long pink hair styled with twin buns, topped with a halo, and paired with a white sailor-style top with a blue bow tie, a flared white skirt, and completed by White stockings and black high heels adorned with bows.

These Convention photos were mostly shot outdoors where the natural lighting was wonderful; the photographer handled the backlighting gorgeously, creating a soft-focus, dreamy ambiance. Sitting on the flagstones for an entire afternoon in this outfit was quite chilly, so I had a few heat packs stuck onto my lower back. To embody the character's disposition, I deliberately opted for more relaxed, languid seated postures—especially sitting on that black-and-white trunk with crossed legs, which elongated the body silhouette without appearing stiff. The custom-made rifle prop looked authentic, though holding it for long stretches did get quite heavy.

Throughout the shoot, managing wardrobe details was crucial: the collar buttons, starry sky patterns, and moon motifs along the hemline required constant adjustments that took plenty of time. Walking on flagstones in White stockings and heels is tricky, so many poses were seated—not only comfortable, but also great for flattering the leg lines. A few candid shots lying across the white tulle caught the light reflections beautifully, creating wonderful atmospheric depth.

As a long-time cosplayer, I genuinely enjoy bringing characters to life on the convention floor. Even amidst bustling crowds, settling down to focus on shooting and savoring the charm of varied designs keeps me motivated. A quick tip from this shoot: if you're taking on similar outfits at conventions, bringing along anti-slip pads and spare shoes is a lifesaver—protecting yourself is essential to capturing great photos.
