The design of this black dress and hair accessories is very sophisticated. Before preparing for the shoot, I was thinking about how to present that elegant yet slightly aloof character temperament through the lens.

The clothing itself has many details worth sharing. An off-shoulder dress with a lace halter neckline was chosen, paired with puffy bubble sleeves and a multi-layered pleated shimmering skirt hem. In the main black color scheme, the blue flower at the waist is the only bright color, adding a little pop to the large area of deep coloration. The paired semi-transparent black tights outfit selects a very delicate fabric; when natural light hits it during the shoot, it produces a very premium sheen. Paired with pointed-toe bow high heels, this is a classic combination. It not only elongates the leg lines exceptionally well but also happens to fit the slightly vintage and gothic feel of this outfit.

For the hairstyle, the iconic short blue hair and the buns coiled on both sides were retained. The streamlined silver-white hair accessory on top of the head is the soul of the entire look, instantly elevating the cold and elegant temperament. The extremely long strands of hanging hair on both sides add a lot of linearity to the frame, preventing the monochromatic composition from looking monotonous.

The shoot was completed with photographer @隅田川千寺. We specifically chose a room with a carved and gilded vintage European sofa and a wooden folding screen. Natural light spilled in through the white lace curtains, forming very beautiful light and shadow on the dark wood floor. I really like this kind of light source; it allows the picture to have both light-dark contrast without being too harsh, instead capturing the texture of the black tights outfit and the shimmer on the skirt hem beautifully.

To allow more possibilities for the photos, I tried several different poses. I really like the one where I look back while sitting on a wooden stool; it perfectly displays the off-shoulder design and the waist embellishment, and the reflection of the black tights under the light is also particularly natural. The one leaning on the sofa represents a more relaxed and extended state, allowing the lines of both legs to completely stretch out. The movement of gripping the hanging hair while turning my head makes the overall posture look more vivid, as if right in the middle of a story scene.

Shooting this set of Anime cosplay photos was actually quite a test of expression control. Because the clothing leans towards being gorgeous, the range of motion didn't need to be too large; instead, a subtly restrained expression combined with casual body language better reproduces that ethereal, mysterious feeling. During makeup, I also intentionally deepened the eye makeup color, which, paired with the black lace collar, looked exceptionally atmospheric in the retro scene. I really like the texture of the final photos this time; there was no deliberate effort to please the camera, but rather the overall temperament was brought out through the combined effect of light, costumes, makeup, props, and posture.
