[Viper cosplay] Goddess of Victory: Nikke Fitting, Pink Jacket and Flat-Chest Declaration

The character I plan to cosplay at Guoman this time is Viper from Goddess of Victory: Nikke. Since there is still plenty of time, I did a fitting with this base cosplay suit first. Truth be told, I was quite anxious before ordering this costume because the original character's curves are extremely eye-catching, and as a typical flat-chested girl, I was terrified I wouldn't be able to pull off her vibe. However, after actually trying it on, I realized the visual effect in person depends much more on the completeness of the overall look rather than just body shape. The pink strap buckle design at the waist is super clever—it not only visually raises the waistline, but also tightens the silhouette by adjusting the tightness. Even at my stage of still trying to shed some belly fat, it creates a pretty great effect. The white gloves at the cuffs and wrists form a strong color contrast with the pink jacket; this iconic pair truly captures the core essence of the character.

As for losing weight, it's actually an ongoing journey for me, and that phrase "hoping for a miracle" in my post comes straight from the heart. Putting on this cutout top and looking at myself in the mirror, I can definitely feel there's plenty of room for improvement around my waist and abdomen lines. However, cosplay itself is a process of continuous adjustment and fine-tuning. There is still some time before the official convention, so I plan to stick with a healthy diet and moderate aerobic exercise. I'm not aiming for visible abs, but rather to make my body lines firmer so I can better handle designs with large areas of exposed skin.

Regarding the question many netizens ask—"Who's still playing Nikke in 2026?"—my personal mindset is actually quite calm. While the game's popularity has indeed seen its peaks and quiet periods, for players who genuinely love cyberpunk and apocalyptic sci-fi themes, the world-building and art style it presents still hold a unique charm. Viper in particular, with her blend of casual casualness and unfathomable mystery, is incredibly appealing. It is precisely because I like her that I chose to cosplay her. Cosplaying isn't just about chasing trends; more often, it's about fulfilling one's love and tribute to a fictional character. Bringing a favorite character into the real 3D world is a deeply fulfilling joy.

Speaking of the cosplay suit itself, it fits quite well overall. The fabric is relatively structured and not overly skin-tight, leaving some breathing room for my figure. However, since the inner top features large cutout areas, keeping warm and applying anti-exposure double-sided tape will definitely be top priorities for the official photoshoot; otherwise, it could be quite inconvenient in a crowded convention environment. Fortunately, sweatproof double-sided tape and nipple covers are pretty advanced nowadays, so a little prep can easily avoid embarrassing moments. Additionally, while the double-layer shoulder straps and metal buckles look a bit intricate, they surprisingly act as great visual accents when posing. However, they do make putting on and taking off the outfit trickier, so I'll probably need to practice quick changing the day before leaving, or else I'll be flustered in the changing room.

For the shooting plan, I prepared a mirrorless camera and some fill lights myself, intending to try taking a few test shots at home using reflectors and lighting from different angles. Although it's still in the fitting stage, I can already tell this pink and white color scheme is super photogenic. Most importantly, before cosplaying this character, I read through a lot of original lore and character archives, hoping to interpret Viper's unique charm through my body language and expressions without violating her character design. Although being flat-chested is indeed a shortcoming compared to her original design, I will focus more on expressing her demeanor—such as the casual nonchalance in her eyes or the subtle curve at the corner of her mouth. A great cosplay work is ultimately a composite result of many aspects. Fabric texture, makeup, facial expressions, emotional delivery—every detail requires serious effort. I hope that during the official event, I can deliver a Viper who, even if her body shape isn't a 100% match, captures her essence perfectly.
