This set of Dolia Year of the Horse limited styling shot in the studio in February presents a cold, detached visual feel with its blue-and-white color palette, dotted with golden borders, giving off a highly celestial vibe at first glance.

The costume itself is rich in layers. The upper body adopts a deep blue satin material and cutout three-dimensional metallic appliques. The neckline is embedded with three massive blue rhinestones, and the diamond-shaped blue shimmering fabric on the chest serves as the visual center of the entire upper body. Thanks to the off-shoulder design, it is highly flattering to the neckline and shoulder contours. The waist connection is designed with a golden trim and features a teardrop-shaped gemstone pendant in the center.

The design of the lower hem is the most magnificent. The white, stiff front piece adopts a three-dimensional cut similar to a shield or a fishtail skirt, protecting the blue inner skirt within it, and is embedded with a row of delicate blue rhinestones. The inner side of the skirt hem is stitched with a large number of light blue and pure white semi-transparent gauze streamers. When moving or in the wind, these streamers naturally loft up, presenting an excellent sense of air fluidity.

The makeup and hair were also the highlights of this shoot. The white cutout hair accessory at the crown is highly iconic, resembling an abstract cloud pattern or light mist design, with some floating small blue square decorations above. Paired with the ice-blue long veil draping behind, it looks exceptionally celestial. To maintain recognizability, the wig is styled into a single long braid on one side, interspersed with bright blue ribbons as embellishments. A few strands of blue-gray highlights are buried within the hair strands, making the hairstyle look more layered and far from rigid.

The eye makeup utilized light blue colored contacts to enhance the clarity of the gaze. Shimmering blue eyeshadow is spread across the eyelids, with the focus being those two symmetrical blue rhinestones on the lower eyelids, which make the eye makeup look more exquisite and eye-catching. Coordinated with the teardrop-shaped gemstone headpiece on the forehead and the golden irregular large earrings on both sides, it elongates the face visually, instantly bringing out a sense of exotic fantasy.

The white studio on the day of the shoot was extremely clean. The pure blue-and-white environment perfectly matched the costume's own colors, preventing any environmental color confusion. During the shoot, to present a lightweight feel like an album cover, we selected a posture of standing on a single leg with a slightly raised knee. The right hand holds that gold-and-blue circular hoop prop, which is actually quite heavy. To steady the hand gesture and expose the profile face, the angle of the wrist was tried several times.

One tedious point about white studio photography is that although the transparent high heels look very translucent and elongate the legs in the frame, the center of gravity is exceptionally hard to stabilize. Coupled with the fact that the dress hem's gauze drags extremely long on the ground, an assistant was fully responsible for pulling the sheer gauze behind to shoot the flying effect of the skirt. Since most fabrics are glossy or gauze surfaces, there are high requirements for the direction of light. Side-backlighting is needed to hit the transparency of the gauze, while a softbox in the front fills light for the face and body.

Looking at the finished products after the shoot, I am highly satisfied with the cleanliness of the colors. The post-processing mindset was mainly to enhance the cold, detached blue-and-white atmosphere, giving the costume's metal parts and rhinestones more detailed luster while preserving the smoothness and luminosity of the skin. Such a Year of the Horse limited Cosplay outfit combining a posing stance and a sense of agility indeed reflects the character's unique lively temperament in front of the lens.
