The warning line from the setup script took over the entire studio's atmosphere the exact moment the red background lit up. This line, 'Otherwise, it won't be as simple as being reduced to ashes,' actually fits the tone of this set of photos perfectly. There is no need for too many redundant movements, nor any need to force out emotions; as long as the sitting posture is right, that entire aura of being composed yet completely crushing naturally flows out.

When putting on this outfit, the most direct feeling is that the various geometric patchworks really test the tailor's skills. The white part of the coat is not a simple flat overlay, but rather features many displacements and sharp cuts, which, paired with that black and red bow tie decoration at the collar, gives the entire upper body a very strong sense of structure. For the lower body, slim-fit trousers made of highly reflective black patent leather were chosen. This kind of patent leather pants is extremely prone to creating harsh highlights under studio lights, which required the photographer to calculate the angle of incidence perfectly when lighting, so as to highlight the texture of the leather pants without letting the reflections turn into an eye-searing white spot.

The biggest difficulty during the shooting process was actually how to maintain an overall sense of balance. The red high stool I sat on has a highly minimalist structure with only thin leg frames, while my sitting posture required my upper body to lean halfway back, with one leg extended out forward. In order to maintain that casual yet firmly steady feeling in the frame, the core muscles had to be tightened at all times. The photographer highly praised this low-angle shot; indeed, lowering the lens coupled with the wide-angle perspective distortion infinitely elongated the leg lines. Just as I joked when posting, after finishing this pose, it really leaves you with a strange sensation of weightlessness where you feel neither sitting nor standing.

Regarding the wig and makeup, a black and white split shoulder-length short hair setup was adopted, creating a very vivid color contrast. Paired with dark smoky eyeshadow to emphasize the eye sockets, it made the gaze look even sharper. I couldn't smile during the shoot and had to maintain that faint sliver of indifference. In fact, every time the shutter was clicked, I needed to quickly adjust the angle of my shoulders and neck to find that specific point of suppression crashing against the lens. When portraying such a dark and cold character style, the biggest fear is making it look like a simple flat pose, so every bend of the posture must carry a sense of power.

What satisfied me the most was the red special effects light ball in my hand, which served as a finishing touch against the dark red background so the frame wouldn't look too monotonous. Paired with the elongated diagonal shadow cast on the floor, the dimensionality and dramatic tension of the entire photo were elevated significantly. Actually, shooting in this outfit is quite physically draining because the coat, leather pants, and high heels collectively are not lightweight, especially when needing to maintain this semi-leaning form for a long time, requiring both the thighs and calves to exert continuous force. However, seeing the final texture of the photos, all the effort was worth it. For everyone looking at the details, like the irregular split design at the cuffs and that tiny bit of red ruffled edge at the pant hems, these are all little easter eggs in the overall styling that add plenty of detail to this originally black-and-white-defined outfit.

Shooting this set allowed me to understand the character a layer deeper and also taught me a lot about photography composition. Especially this kind of gravity-defying suspended sitting posture can serve as a reference when taking other indoor sets in the future. Presenting the character through such a clean yet tense atmosphere was truly an incredibly satisfying experience, keeping the character's crisp and swift traits perfectly preserved within this sea of pure red light and shadow.
