[Moriya Suwako cosplay] Touhou Project's Lotus Leaf and Golden Rings, Purple Skirt Styling Share

After changing into this mainly purple-toned dress, I quickly tidied up the outer white transparent tulle cardigan. This time I'm trying out the look of Moriya Suwako from Touhou Project. The entire outfit is mainly purple and white, with a few dark brown and reddish-brown accents, making it look very refreshing and natural visually. The top is a purple sleeveless style, and the fabric has a delicate jacquard dark pattern, giving the fabric a three-dimensional feel upon close inspection. The waist features a white splicing design, which cleverly separates the upper and lower body visually and adds layers to the outfit. The skirt hem has blue-green tone embroidery patterns, and the outer edge is a ring of white lace trim, which perfectly echoes the white splicing above. This outer tulle cardigan is very lightweight with wide cuffs, and a reddish-brown string is tied at the wrist, giving it an elegant, flowing drape when walking, which fits the character's temperament perfectly.

For the props, I held a green lotus leaf and golden metal rings in my hands, both of which carry a strong symbolic meaning. Especially in the second picture, the white bulging eye decorations added directly to the front of the straw hat give the entire look a very clear recognizability. The edge of the straw hat hangs with translucent white veil, and small tassels are tied to the ends of the strings. In addition, I wore a pink and white beaded necklace on my chest, adding a bit of embellishment to the blank space of the neck. For the hairstyle, I chose a long straight blonde wig, braided into twists on both sides, and specially chose red strings as hair ties for the braids. This not only echoes the color of the tying strings on the jacket cuffs but also makes the match between the hair color and the overall tone more coordinated.

For the lower body, I chose white over-the-knee socks and dark brown platform loafers. Because the length of the skirt hem is just above the knees, combined with the wrapping feel of the white long socks, it can visually extend the leg lines, making the overall body proportions look more slender. In the mirror selfie composition, you can intuitively see the over-the-knee socks and the lace edge at the bottom of the skirt, which together create a 2D daily life vibe that is not too deliberate but full of atmosphere.

The shooting was done against a full-length mirror on the wooden floor at home. The indoor light during the day clearly displayed the textures of the white tulle, straw hat, and lotus leaf. Since it was randomly recorded after finishing the whole outfit, while adjusting the position of the lotus leaf and golden rings, I could also see the spatial sense and balance of holding different props in my hand. This recording method allows me to intuitively see the overall completeness of the character and also check whether the drape of the jacket and the styling of the skirt hem fit well.

Overall, the clothing design of the character Moriya Suwako inherently carries strong natural elements and a fresh feeling. This purple dress, combined with the straw hat and white veil, paired with white long socks and dark leather shoes, perfectly conveys that temperament of being close to nature yet exquisite and cute. From fabric selection to prop details, and then to the matching of hairstyle and accessories, a lot of thought was put into the whole process. The final effect presented is exactly the character atmosphere I wanted to restore. Although it's just a daily try-on at home rather than actual convention photos, the captured effect already fits the character image in my mind very well. Recording such a complete look is indeed very meaningful.
