[Tenochtitlan cosplay] FGO Rain God Summer Trying On Clothes: Can't Wait for the Beach Photoshoot

Currently doing an indoor fitting session for Rain God Tenochtitlan cosplay from Fate/Grand Order. Trying on clothes for this summer-vibe-packed look for the first time, I took photos from various angles in the mirror first to check outfit details and wig fit.

The white wide-brimmed sun hat with a red, blue, and white ribbon bow frames my face just right while visually broadening the overall silhouette. The white sleeveless mini dress is the core of this outfit, cinched at the high waist with a red belt that nicely accentuates the waistline. The skirt hem features multi-layered wavy ruffles with blue color-blocked paneling, creating natural fluttering movement while walking, perfect for the beach breeze. On the right thigh, a yellow geometric pattern sticker was specifically applied—one of the recognizable features in character settings—adjusted several times during fitting to find the most leg-elongating placement.

The wig utilizes long black curly hair blended with teal-blue gradient highlights, where hair tip gradients transition naturally with original black hair. The long curly hair texture is great, though managing long locks is relatively tedious; before the official shoot, I'll trim the bangs and sideburns carefully to avoid blocking line of sight. The matching golden bracelet simply decorates the wrist, echoing the overall refreshing color tone.

On my feet, I paired white platform lace-up high-heeled sandals. The heel height and platform design elongate leg proportions while providing stability on sand and wooden plank boardwalks. The prop is a substantial blue-and-white long spear with a yellow star emblem on the shaft, connected below to a cylindrical gas or water canister, carrying noticeable weight in hand. During fitting, I repeatedly practiced various single-handed holding poses, as the official shoot requires freeing the other hand to arrange skirt hems or adjust hat brims, requiring familiarity with the Cosplay props' center of gravity beforehand to prevent wrist fatigue or prop tilting.

Attending classes at school recently while watching temperatures rise daily, I truly can't wait for summer vacation to arrive. I've already brainstormed several beach composition drafts in my head: the blue-and-white color scheme alongside pure white dresses under sunlight will look fantastic, and paired with this resort-style wide-brimmed hat, it should capture a clear, lightweight visual effect. Preparing for summer location shoots, I've also been diligently doing sunscreen homework—outdoor areas in summer, especially water edges with sea breezes, have intense UV rays. Combined with fair skin tones, not only must high-SPF sunscreen be prepared, but makeup longevity under high temperature and humidity must also be considered.

The dress fabric is relatively lightweight and breathable, making it a very friendly choice for summer shoots. However, beach shoots present certain challenges—long skirt hems easily get soaked by seawater, and white dresses easily catch mud and sand, so bringing backup tissues and bottled mineral water for spot cleaning is essential. Wigs tangle easily in strong winds, so setting spray and hair combs must be carried along. Though the props are large, their refreshing colors showcase details in a more 3D way under natural outdoor light. Finally completing the fitting process, I'm extremely satisfied with the overall fit and color palette. Now I'm just waiting for the summer vacation horn to sound, dragging my photographer to the beach to complete this photoshoot smoothly and enjoy the summer shooting rhythm in this Summer outfit session.
