The core of this shoot revolves around the complete transformation process of "Jeanne d'Arc (Alter)" from her first to second ascension. To accurately restore the character's depth, I tried to use a three-color gradient as the visual foundation to capture the changes deep within her heart. The first set of shots is dominated by pure white, attempting to outline the cold detachment and fragility of her awakening—the look she had before being fully eroded by fate. Subsequently, the images gradually transition to deep blue tones, showcasing her awakening edge and defiance through sharper lines and eye expressions; this tension from restraint to explosion is the core charm of the character. The final set of photos is completely drenched in crimson—the final explosion of destiny piling up. Regarding costume details, I paid special attention to the visual contrast between metallic textures and shattered edges, striving to restore that proud, sharp, and highly fragile atmosphere (Sense of fragility). Each color transition is actually a microcosm of the character's inner struggle and self-reinvention. Through the intense collision of different color blocks, I hope to bring the audience an immersive visual experience, allowing everyone to intuitively see how she constantly reinvents herself in a shattered destiny. This cosplay is also a project I've been very invested in recently, which incorporates the essence of Visual Kei. With the deep integration of light, shadow, color, and styling, I hope to convey that unique and complex sense of brokenness of Jeanne d'Arc (Alter) to every friend who sees it.
