In terms of pose choreography, striving to capture the dignity of the King of Knights while conveying power during sword swings required strong core engagement—holding the sword for long stretches easily made my hands tremble. As for framing, my favorite shot is the one gazing down at the blade, where tranquility and sharpness intertwine perfectly.
The original prompt mentioned the line asking why one smiles in this moment, which gave me immense inspiration. During breaks, I intentionally channeled the mindset of a king who smiles to protect her people, embedding that forbearance and sense of duty directly into my eyes. For the King of Knights, her armor represents both glory and shackles; thus, alongside determination, there must also be compassion and solitude. The hair and makeup were fantastic—the wig curl was carefully trimmed to faithfully recreate the blonde ahoge texture. The photographer utilized side-backlighting to highlight the cold, rigid texture of the metal plates while preserving natural skin translucency. The overall blue-and-white color palette felt very refined, embodying the commanding presence of such a serious character. Although it was sweltering and physically draining, capturing these details and bringing both expression and armor to an ideal final look made this an incredible teamwork experience.
