Portraying the character of The Shorekeeper from Wuthering Waves was a truly thrilling attempt for me. This time, I chose an indoor scene with a Western retro style, wanting to use an old-fashioned wooden piano and warm sunlight to clash with the cool and fragile nature that inherently comes with The Shorekeeper.

The focus of the entire costume lies in its colors and textures. The light aqua-blue wig was specially trimmed in layers, paired with translucent light purple eye makeup, aiming to maximize her ethereal vibe. The white lace long dress combines a boned corset design, and the outer glossy gauze layer refracts a rainbow-like iridescent luster under the sun, making the originally pure white even more vivid.

We paid great attention to the use of natural light during the shoot. The slanting afternoon sunlight hit the wooden floor, echoing beautifully with the warm color of the piano. Whether it was sitting on the piano stool holding a pure white bouquet or sitting sideways on the floor, every angle was an effort to create an atmosphere as if she truly existed in that peaceful afternoon. To make the flowing layers of the skirt hem look more beautiful, we repeatedly adjusted the positions of the floor-length tulle and the hanging beads on the belt, striving to make every frame look light yet weighted.

Many thanks to the photographer @木偶puppet📷 for the full control throughout this cosplay photography session. The aperture and shutter matched perfectly, preserving the translucency of this glimmer. The creation incentive not only provided me with a stage to showcase but also allowed me to present these meticulously prepared details to everyone. Every time I shoot such fine styling, which feels as delicate as doll clothing making, a lot of energy must be invested into the early hair and makeup, wig styling, and post-processing fine-tuning.

Although the process was hard work, seeing the final expression of the character's unique temperament makes everything completely worth it. Being able to immerse myself in the character and share this visual experience with everyone is the greatest joy of Anime cosplay.
