[Cartethyia Cosplay] Wind and Blades of Wuthering Waves, Captured Under the Convention Spotlight

Cosplaying Cartethyia at the exhibition venue took quite a while to prepare, from initial makeup trials to the actual shoot. To recreate the character's proportions accurately, the silhouette of the cosplay outfit was repeatedly adjusted, paying close attention to the blue-and-white gradient, cut-out details, and metallic patterns along the waist. The wig featured layered braids with blonde hair styling, and the blue hair ornaments were clipped on securely so they wouldn't shift even during large movements. I brought two props for the photoshoot; a temporary helper outside held the reflector for the gold weapon in my hand, and fortunately, the final visual came out very clean. The overhead ceiling lights at the venue shone down perfectly on the gradient blue of the skirt, casting light spots on my legs with a really pleasing texture. I wore high-heeled sandals this time, which left my feet sore after standing for a long time, but posing while sitting on a folding step stool made things much easier and yielded a natural leg line. The convention photography photographer was great at capturing angles—without forced posing, they used a telephoto lens to compress the background, blurring out the crowd and light stands behind me to keep the subject highlighted. Post-processing mostly involved adjusting the color temperature to make the skin tone look softer. This cosplay outfit actually has many small details, such as the tightness of the arm straps and the curve of the waist corset. I had to mind my posture constantly while wearing it to avoid looking bulky. After finishing this set, I walked around the convention floor, got recognized by several fellow fans, and chatted about the character lore, which was really fun. Even though the venue was bustling, focusing in front of the lens allowed me to stay grounded. Every time I cosplay a character from Wuthering Waves, I appreciate how detailed the lore and world-building are—from outfit patterns to weapon designs, everything is worth studying. I feel this set successfully captured Cartethyia's sharp yet gentle aesthetic, and I'm quite satisfied with the overall result.
