"Take my panda punch!" Wearing this panda-themed costume instantly makes me feel like a lively Panda girl. Seeing everyone's love for Shen Miao in NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, I decided to materialize these cute panda elements infused with Chinese style aesthetics. The soul of the entire look lies in the panda headpiece—the huge ears and the tiny bamboo leaf detail on top are immensely charming, while the thick plush cowl around the neck creates a fluffy, healing visual effect. In terms of costume design, the white cinched top paired with a prominent black bow and heart-shaped gem pendant achieves a cohesive black-and-white color palette with the skirt. To avoid looking bulky, I specifically paired it with a layered white ruffled skirt and classic black tights, preserving playful agility while harmonizing body proportions through leg lines for a casual, youthful vibe.

For hair and makeup, instead of an intricate updo, I chose simple twin braids with straight bangs to convey an innocent yet slightly tsundere expression beneath the panda headpiece. To give my eyes extra brilliance, the makeup remained clean and fresh, emphasizing eye highlights and clear, translucent lip color so expressions appeared natural and vivid from any angle. The location was a small traditional Chinese courtyard; the vintage wooden chair behind me and lush green bamboo leaves added a touch of real-world elegance and lifestyle charm to this anime-inspired look. I paid special attention to the rim lighting striking the plush paw gloves, adjusting sitting poses and hand gestures repeatedly to capture that moment. Particularly when raising both hands to declare a "panda punch," balancing core stability without messing up skirt folds allowed the photographer to smartly capture the beautiful silhouette created by the white skirt and black stockings.

The most challenging part of this outfit wasn't putting it on, but rather that the extensive plush fur easily picked up bamboo leaves or dust during movement, requiring staff to constantly clean it during breaks. Additionally, those giant panda paw gloves, while looking soft and adorable, restricted vision and tactile feedback, so raising hands above my head required relying almost entirely on feel to balance arm angles. Fortunately, my photographer partner was incredible, capturing many cute yet playful moments through detailed direction and burst shooting. Since the lighting was soft, pairing it with a plush-heavy outfit created a natural bloom effect in highlighted areas, giving the impression of an in-camera soft-focus filter. In post-processing, instead of over-smoothing skin, we retained natural skin texture while emphasizing strong light-and-dark contrast between white fur and black stockings, leaning toward warm yellow tones for a cozy afternoon vibe.

Regarding camera parameters and post-processing, I specifically requested retaining fur texture and edge bloom, avoiding over-sharpening edges that would turn plush fur into solid clumps. In the final Cosplay photography, whether it's the relaxed seating pose in Photo 1 or the close-up in Photo 4 tilting my head slightly toward the lens, the lifelike ambiance—as if interacting with a real little panda—pleased me immensely. As a cosplayer who frequently works with game characters imbued with Chinese style aesthetics, I firmly believe combining costume, props, lighting, and expression forms the core of exceptional Cosplay photography rather than simple imitation. This was my first time attempting a panda theme with Chinese culture and gaming elements; although makeup, styling, and communication required immense effort, seeing final images made every bit worth it. This look fits seamlessly whether within game lore or as an independent Chinese-style beauty, and I hope it brings a refreshing, comforting feeling to everyone visually.
