To faithfully portray Dorothy from Goddess of Victory: Nikke, substantial preparation went into styling and makeup. Aiming for a dreamlike yet subtly languid aesthetic, the makeup focused heavily on soft eye contouring and blush, using sweeping washes of pink to harmonize with the overall palette. I selected azure contact lenses to create an engaging warm-cool contrast against the pink wig. Trimming and styling the wig took considerable time after it arrived—particularly sculpting the gathered side buns with organic, textured hair wisps, crowned by lilac ribbon bows to complete her signature silhouette.
For the wardrobe, I selected an off-the-shoulder white dress. The sleeves were the defining highlight: crafted from sheer organza chiffon, these lantern sleeves not only looked weightless, but billowed with effortless grace with the slightest breeze or gesture. A row of polished golden buttons along the bodice introduced crisp structural detail to the pristine white fabric. The lilac satin ribbon choker around the neck served as a delicate accent, echoing the ribbons adorning the wig. For the lower half, I paired white stockings trimmed with lace cuffs alongside chunky white high-heeled pumps. To accentuate leg lines, most poses utilized seated cross-legged postures; this showcased the delicate lace borders of the stockings while visually elongating leg proportions, pairing with the tiered skirt ruffles to build rich compositional depth.
The set was staged with European vintage decor: a tufted cream-white vintage sofa flanked by overflowing arrangements of pastel pink and white blossoms, atop a plush white fur carpet that elevated the mood. Collaborating with photographer 阿森纳的小马丁, the lighting was dialed into a luminous, soft high-key palette that highlighted natural skin radiance and the gossamer textures of the chiffon. Posing was kept loose and fluid—reclining across the sofa cushions or draping an arm over the armrest, lightly caressing a cheek or gathering a fold of the skirt to ensure frames felt like organic candids rather than stiff, forced poses. I consistently smoothed out the skirt hem between takes, especially when shifting crossed legs, keeping the flowing lines clean and undisturbed.
The entire shoot progressed seamlessly with the staging and lighting perfectly aligned, resulting in an exceptionally high yield of keepers. Dorothy naturally radiates a distinctive, nuanced presence, and I strove to channel that internal atmospheric weight into every gesture. This set stands as a deeply satisfying creative endeavor; both character fidelity and visual texture matched my ideal expectations, and I hope this pink-and-white dreamscape delivers a captivating visual journey.
