I've finally finished sorting out my Day 2 photos from CICF 2026 and can officially share this Tomimi convention set! This Tomimi look required considerable dedication down to the finest details. Starting from the head, the long silver-white hair was styled into natural side braids cascading over my chest, paired with elongated elf-ear prosthetics. To give my facial contours greater depth on camera, the makeup emphasized glowing amber colored contacts with deepened eye framing. The vintage gold goggles around my neck served as the crowning accent, reflecting a gorgeous metallic sheen under the sunlight.

For the outfit, the dark sleeveless turtleneck inner layer and the black off-the-shoulder cropped jacket created crisp dimension. My favorite detail was the transparent PVC patchwork at the jacket's cuffs—combined with the black-and-white arm warmers and gold buttons, it blended futuristic techwear aesthetics with her distinctive tribal flair. The black hollow cut-out strapping leg covers (Stockings) heavily tested my posing, as the cut-outs could easily pinch or shift out of alignment; I constantly had to micro-adjust them to ensure smooth, flattering lines. Paired with glossy black high-heeled ankle boots, it visually elongated my legs dramatically.

As for props, the long black staff was by far the heaviest item of the day. The spiked ring at the staff's crown featured a central solar gear emblem, wrapped with white ribbons that fluttered gracefully in the convention's outdoor breeze. The photographer, @八次方根, was exceptionally skilled at capturing this kinetic motion. To hold the long staff steadily, I altered my grip leverage to make the stance appear effortless. The large black serrated tail behind me was another crucial element: when standing, I used core engagement to curve it into an organic arch, and when sitting, I laid it across the asphalt pavement to add compositional volume to the frame.

The lighting was wonderfully cooperative that day, with yellow-and-black safety barriers and distant modern architecture serving as our backdrop outside the exhibition hall. The afternoon natural light came in from the side, outlining my silver hair with a striking rim light. True to Tomimi's character persona, I favored crossed-leg stances or single-leg knee raises in most shots—not only enhancing vertical leg proportions, but also highlighting the intricate strap details. For seated poses, stretching my legs straight or bending my knees relaxed the composition with casual ease.

The convention was packed, so finding this relatively open outdoor spot took some searching. While yellow-and-black barriers are commonplace, blurring them with a wide aperture transformed them into an orderly, industrial-chic backdrop that framed the black-and-white color blocking of Tomimi's outfit perfectly. The wind kept fluttering the ribbons on the staff, requiring multiple bursts before capturing that immaculate shot. Because the leg straps tended to loosen during intense walking, I checked their alignment before every shutter click to keep the thigh cut-outs symmetrical and clean. Furthermore, since the cropped jacket was off-the-shoulder and the prop was heavy, I couldn't make overly exaggerated movements, relying instead on neck and shoulder angles to maintain poise. I preserved the natural color grading of the raw photos without heavy post-processing, as the outdoor lighting was already exquisite. Posing the tail was equally vital—if it stayed too rigid, it would look artificial, so I kept tweaking its curvature to make it feel alive. Even though managing the prop's weight was tiring, the final results turned out immensely satisfying. Huge thanks again to the photographer!
