I experimented with 3D photo effects and wanted to share my takeaways from this shoot. The outfit featured Dusk's Jasper Inkstone skin from Arknights; the design is genuinely exquisite, and the multi-layered gossamer demands exceptional fabric drape. Because Ancient style cosplay is relatively intricate, adjusting the wig's silhouette took considerable effort—especially the cyan horn headpiece, which had to be anchored securely to hold its shape on camera. Makeup emphasized an elongated eye shape with red tones to channel her aloof, distant gaze. For props, I selected a calligraphy brush and an unrolled scroll, holding my hand poised in mid-air to mimic pausing mid-stroke while painting. Staging the scene with an oil-paper umbrella, plum blossoms, and a classical calligraphy backdrop established an authentic atmosphere. Reviewing the 3D photo effect afterward, seeing a static frame gain subtle dimensional depth felt very much like classic lenticular cards. This foreground-to-background spatial separation gives a flat image room to breathe—especially with the unfurling scroll in the foreground and branches reaching in the back, drawing the viewer's eye straight to the face. Post-processing applied subtle cool-toned color grading suited to Jasper Inkstone for a crisp, translucent finish. It was a fascinating 3D experiment that brought a fresh perspective to static cosplay posing.
