Changing into this white swimsuit with a transparent laser sun-protection jacket, paired with the signature black hair, twin buns, and feather hair accessories, I used this summer-themed styling to recreate her leisure on the beach. The ID badge on the lanyard and those blue-green goggles are highly recognizable details in this look; they are not just props but the exact first impression this character gave me.
In terms of scene arrangement, we simulated a beach with a spliced carpet, paired with a blue-and-white beach ball and a swim ring beside it. The wooden lounge chair on the side, stacked woven rattan baskets, a tray holding a baguette, as well as that white anchor decoration and classical Roman pillars, all enriched the elements of the entire frame, creating a refined atmosphere of a seaside vacation. Broad-leaf green plants were arranged in the corner of the background, which neutralized the plastic feel of the props during the studio shoot and added an air of natural growth.
The focus of this shoot was to present a relaxed, refreshing summer feel. The laser fabric of the jacket refracts changing lusters under the lights, precisely fitting the aquatic concept of the swimsuit. For pose choices, rather than standing rigidly, I felt that sitting on the ground or interacting with the beach ball and swim ring carried more real-life flavor. The second photo with both hands raised high to fix the hair was meant to capture an inadvertently frozen feeling rather than the stiffness of forced posing.
In terms of details, the cyan-blue strap on the thigh and the wristband on the wrist enhanced the overall color harmony. As part of restoring the character, the color combination of the costume and the embellishments of the accessories were carefully considered. The white swimsuit looks pure and clean, while the bright-colored accessories effectively light up the frame, making the color layers richer. The thick-soled white sandals also stabilized the visual center of gravity of the overall look, preventing it from appearing light and floaty due to the light-colored floor.
The most interesting part of the shooting process was actually cooperating with these props. The height of the lounge chair and the placement of the woven baskets needed adjustments to keep the entire composition balanced and uncluttered. Although this sun-protection jacket is very thin, wanting to wear it with a casual draped effect required constant attention to its flow during movements, ensuring it wouldn't block the character's body lines while presenting that semi-transparent laser dreamy texture.
When shooting such a lightweight summer swimsuit look, it actually places high demands on the makeup; it needs to fit the character without losing its crispness, avoiding an overly heavy stage makeup look, otherwise it would destroy the relaxed summer atmosphere originally in the frame. The entire set was designed around the theme of "seaside holiday." Compared to going directly to a crowded beach, building such a scene inside a studio allowed for more precise control over the light and effects, avoiding uneven skin tones and clothing reflections caused by uncontrollable outdoor lighting.
Feel this atmosphere. Standing among these props, picking up the swim ring, or placing a hand on the ball instantly immerses one into the scene of this character spending the summer. When designing this look, I intentionally retained this transparent laser jacket; it both meets the realistic demand for sun protection and visually adds layering, keeping the pure white swimsuit from looking too monotonous.
These photos record a very complete summer project. From outfit matching to scene presentation, and then to makeup and styling details, everything tried to stay close to the personality color of this character as I understand it. The final texture is very pleasing, with clean colors that highlight the character subject while keeping the character from losing the original feeling she gives people in the game. I hope everyone can feel a touch of refreshing summer breath exclusive to this season from these poses and expressions through this 2D character's swimsuit cosplay.
