Putting on this Wuthering Waves school uniform, I originally planned to take a serious route, but the moment I arrived at the venue, that completely broke down. The first two selfies indeed look quite dignified, pushing the static close-ups of both the sailor suit and the gym uniform to their best, but once those two shots were done, I completely let loose. Just as I said in my post, I went full "Goofy Camellya" all day, switching instantly from a quiet underclassman to the chief comedian.
First, let's talk about the outfit styling of this school look. The sailor suit has a crisp cut with an energetic red bow at the collar, which, paired with the silver-white wig and signature black hair accessories, initially gives off a cool and dashing character vibe. Switching to the sportswear look in the second selfie, the youthful academy vibe hits immediately. The athletic shorts and fitted T-shirt offered zero restriction for physical movements, which is exactly why we were able to goof around so freely later on. The white wig was styled with a touch of messy beauty, complemented by black striped decorations on the hair to give the entire silhouette a distinct, dimensional contour.
When it came to the group photos, the "hidden nature" of our dance and drama club was thoroughly exposed. We had rented a sunlit vintage classroom for the day; the atmosphere of wooden desks, chairs, and metal lockers was originally quite peaceful, but was completely shattered by our laughter and antics. Starting from the third picture, everyone seemed to flip a bizarre switch: some acted as background extras while others started striking all kinds of unbelievable poses. I completely abandoned any image management—putting on dark sunglasses, squatting beside desks, or kicking up high against the wall in absurd martial arts poses. Paired with the over-the-knee Black tights outfit on my legs, every detail of the sporty look was integrated into the hilarious physical comedy.
The shooting process was genuinely a physical challenge. Poses like backbends, splits, and kneeling on the floor may look effortless in the photos, but maintaining dynamic tension required core muscles to be tightly engaged throughout. Because the wig was quite long, looking down or executing large movements meant constantly protecting the strands from tangling. Our dance club often tackles tough choreographic challenges during rehearsals, and this shoot felt like moving the stage into the classroom, with everyone unleashing their wildest, craziest side. Those moments of leaning halfway across desks, hugging a basketball, or engaging in silly interactions in pairs could never be staged artificially—they were all pure, spontaneous joy.
Even though I went down the nonsensical "Goofy Camellya" path, I feel these lively, unpretentious photos capture the character's vibrant presence in an academy setting far better than static close-ups ever could. The funniest part was that our group jumping up and down in the classroom became the ultimate "legendary background" in others' eyes, capturing the youth, playfulness, and relaxed ease of school days to the fullest. Looking back at the raw files after the shoot, I couldn't hold back my laughter. Beyond character fidelity, being able to create this kind of unburdened joy with like-minded friends is truly the most precious part of Wuthering Waves cosplay and Casual cosplay.
