This set of works was completed in a combined scene of a traditional wooden platform and the blooming flowers of the Transmigration Tree. For the makeup and styling, I first emphasized a clear and transparent feel on the base makeup to match the character's temperament, and did a light color blending on the eye makeup to make the eye-closing posture look softer. The two strands of light blonde wig were added with fox ear accessories. To ensure that the placement of the animal ears didn't look jarring, I used bobby pins together with an invisible wig net to secure the roots, and then layered wig pieces step by step to make the hair look fluffy and natural. In terms of clothing, the pink outer blouse used a semi-transparent silk fabric, which could reveal a natural luster under strong light. Meanwhile, I wore a white cross-collar inner shirt, modifying the body length by lowering the waistline. The reddish-brown waistband with three-dimensional gold thread embroidery and geometric textures was indeed the highlighting focus of the overall visuals for this Kemonomimi cosplay.

The actual lighting at the shooting site was quite challenging, with many dappled shadows on the wooden floor, so I had the photographer adopt a high-angle perspective to capture the overall structure. Those surrounding light pink blossoms in the photos formed a perfect foreground framing, while the stone slab decorations and red ribbons were props casually placed beside me without deliberate arrangement, mainly to increase the richness of the image through color contrast. Another close-up photo relied more on the refraction of natural light; the soft, warm sun hit the blonde hair and clothing, with the light outlining the facial contours very clearly. However, the first photo from a high-angle perspective is more suitable as the key visual for the entire set because it perfectly balanced the character's posture with the scene elements.

For the post-processing color grading, special thanks to @不列颠大魔女 for the meticulous work. A low-saturation warm tone was adopted overall, merging the textures of the stone platform and wood grain into the pink-and-white environment, making the atmosphere of the Transmigration Tree closer to the original ancient style and that quietness laced with a hint of destiny from Fox Spirit Matchmaker. The enhancement of special effects, light, and shadow also matched the color scheme of the original setting, retaining a soft light instead of excessively raising the contrast. During the process of shooting this set of photos, we needed to balance the ambient light and shadow with the integrity of the character's own styling. For an ancient style photoshoot, besides the texture of the costume, the compatibility of environmental props will also directly affect the emotional transmission of the final photos. Organizing props and adjusting the wig also took a massive amount of time that day; the wide sleeves and the material of the gauze outer coat of this outfit were easily messed up by the wind, requiring constant tidying to ensure smooth lines in the frame. Since the scene's floor was used as a fulcrum, the entire process basically involved sitting or lying on the raised platform and stones to interact, fostering a comfortable and natural atmosphere through relaxed expressions. Furthermore, I added some detail processing during the later stage of makeup, such as the gradient transition at the edge of the hairline, organizing the layers of the multi-layered garment necklines, and adjusting the proportion of the shoes and trousers. Because this type of traditional clothing easily appears heavy when touching the ground, handling the drape well is one of the crucial factors. Personally, I am quite satisfied with the final cosplay photography output, which aligns perfectly with the temperament anticipated before the shoot.
