Today's main agenda was the official photoshoot for this Maruyama Aya ensemble. To faithfully embody this vibrant idol from BanG Dream!, I poured tremendous effort into both styling and wardrobe beforehand. The wig was layered with precision: long pink curls crowned with that iconic oversized pastel blue bow instantly brought out the idol aura once put on. For makeup, pink-toned eyeshadows were paired with purplish-pink contact lenses, keeping the base foundation as dewy and translucent as possible to accentuate the character's upbeat, sweet vitality.

The wardrobe details are genuinely abundant: the top consists of a white sailor-collared short-sleeved blouse with pink puff sleeves, cinched at the waist by a wide pink obi-style sash. The tiered skirt cascades distinctly from solid pink to pink polka dots over white, accented with white lace frills and light blue borders, all dotted with numerous pastel blue ribbon bows. The fluffiness of the skirt upon wearing it was deeply satisfying; styled with over-the-knee White stockings and pink chunky-heeled Mary Janes, the overall accuracy achieved my ideal vision.

Throughout the session, to project the lively presence of an idol on stage, I explored a wide range of movements—striking stage poses with the microphone, framing hearts with both hands, and even jumping dynamically across the white cyclorama's circular podium. The combination of White stockings and Mary Janes beautifully elongated leg lines during extended poses, infusing the composition with dynamic tension. Poses like extending a hand forward while holding the mic, or lifting one leg with a fingertip pointed forward, demanded solid bodily balance to ensure the skirt flared into an exquisite arc while keeping facial expressions bright and beaming with smiles. I was in constant dialogue with the photographer regarding camera angles; high angles accentuated pure cuteness, whereas low angles brought out a commanding idol stage presence.

An official photoshoot places immense emphasis on showcasing garment layering and character demeanor. While lighting across a white cyclorama is fairly uniform, highlighting the dimensional textures and fabrics of the skirt still required continual repositioning. Because this Idol stage costume features multiple layers, it can easily lose definition under studio lights without careful posing, so I kept my postures open and expansive rather than shrinking inward. Spending time aligning the direction of the skirt pleats and ribbon bows was meticulous, yet seeing the results materialize on screen affirmed that every micro-adjustment was worth it.

The shooting schedule was tightly organized. As an official photoshoot, it was necessary to capture both the expressive impact of the front and the detailed craftsmanship along the sides and back. The wig demanded regular upkeep throughout, as styled pink fibers easily frizz or separate during dynamic movements. Between takes, I routinely smoothed the hair ends with a fine comb and spray. While the sash sculpted a lovely waistline, it pinched slightly over the course of the day; to preserve a flawless look in the final photos, I maintained proper posture even during breaks.

A pristine, clean backdrop was chosen to keep all eyes focused squarely on the character's attire and styling. Handheld microphone technique was thoughtfully considered as well: though merely a prop, the grip directly dictates the authentic stage feel, so I monitored wrist angles and fingertip pressure continuously. My hope was to convey Maruyama Aya's passionate, ever-radiant essence on stage. The color palette of the dress is wonderfully energetic—a harmonious interplay of pink, blue, and white that looks remarkably fresh on camera—so I aligned my expression management with pure sweetness and pep, keeping the corners of my mouth gently curled upward. By wrap-up, stepping out of the heels left my legs completely aching, yet reviewing today's captured frames filled me with immense satisfaction.
