[Misono Mika cosplay] White Wings and Azure Sailor Suit: Heart-Fluttering Convention Photos

After sorting through the shots, the Convention photos from the Blue Archive only event at the Guangzhou Anime Convention are finally ready; I cosplayed the character Misono Mika. The venue was much more crowded than anticipated on the day of the shoot, but fortunately, having scheduled the time with my photographer beforehand allowed us to complete this set in a quieter corner of the mall. To achieve clean compositions, we specially laid out a plush rug on the floor amidst the bustling crowd and lively atmosphere. Preparing this costume required immense effort, particularly the pair of white wings; to achieve both a fluffy texture and an overall sense of lightness, a specific feather material was chosen, which added noticeable weight and left my shoulders quite sore after walking around the convention all day. The outfit itself consists of a white sailor-style top with a layered tiered skirt, accented by a striking large blue ribbon on the chest. The gold-lined trim along the collar went through multiple revisions to closely match the original design. To complete the visual effect, I paired it with light gold contact lenses and long wavy pink hair that was custom-styled, with the wig's silky sheen showing up beautifully under the venue lights. During the shoot, seated poses turned out to be the easiest to capture well, as leaning against the plush rug allowed me to relax considerably. One particular favorite is a leg close-up that perfectly accentuates the texture and slender contours of the White stockings. I wore purple high heels that day, but slipped them off to the side while posing on the rug to keep them clean. For the standing shots, the photographer utilized reflections from the mall's glass railings combined with background bokeh to keep the frame pristine. The poses directed by the photographer were tailored to the character's demeanor—such as folding my hands over my chest or holding them together in prayer, complemented by the overhead halo. A few shots featured digital halo effects added in post-production, as physical props proved tricky to keep stable on the crowded convention floor, yet the overall fidelity remained high. Cosplaying this character was not only inspired by her memorable story arc in the original work, but also because her slightly airheaded yet mischievous personality is so much fun to express. I am truly delighted to have faithfully captured Mika's stage and game persona. Meeting so many fellow fans at the venue and chatting about the series made the shared passion genuinely heartwarming. My personal favorites from this photo set remain the seated poses and half-body portraits, which, enhanced by color grading, come together into a fresh, airy white-themed collection. Huge thanks to the photographer for mastering the venue's tricky lighting; all the effort put into this costume was rewarded by capturing so many high-fidelity details.
