This is the final set of Sora-chan convention photos taken at this Chengdu Anime Convention. The decision to cosplay this look was somewhat spontaneous, but the pre-shoot preparation was thoroughly detailed.

For the wig, I selected a cool-toned silver-white instead of a flat stark white; to ensure natural texture under night lighting, I deliberately chose fibers with subtle, organic luster. With blunt bangs and twin-tails, the tips were lightly textured so the hair wouldn't clump rigidly during poses. The two black ribbons on top serve as the soul of the look—placed slightly back toward the crown to visually slim the face and enhance a youthful silhouette. Tailored for night photography, the base and setting powder were layered more substantially, with prominent blush swept beneath the eyes alongside grey contact lenses to cultivate that signature aloof, delicate ambiance.

The outfit featured a white lace-trimmed dress with short puffed sleeves and a ruffled high collar, nicely flattering the neck and arm lines. The large black satin ribbon bow on the chest, accented with a silver rhinestone square buckle, serves as the visual anchor through striking black-and-white contrast. A waist corset belt with metallic buckles cinched the waist tightly, harmonizing with the lace hem for a vintage, sophisticated depth. For footwear, black chunky-heeled Mary Janes were paired with White stockings over-the-knee socks. Walking across the convention floor all day in this set was exhausting, but staying in character was worth it, especially as the lace frills along the top of the over-the-knee socks flattered the leg lines beautifully.

Lighting is always the trickiest element in night photography; this shoot relied heavily on off-camera lighting, balancing a crisp key light without blowing out highlights, while out-of-focus city bokeh in the background served as a natural asset. Sitting on a white plush rug provided a soft cushion while creating sharp contrast against the dark pavement and deep night backdrop. The grey plush rabbit clutched in my arms, with an off-white ribbon around its neck, added a layer of tenderness to the frame.

Pose-wise, one shot featured holding both twin-tails outward with my hands to showcase the waist-length hair setting, requiring gentle control to avoid tangling the strands. Another frame captured me reaching a hand forward, timed impeccably by the photographer to create strong interactive presence. Other postures—resting a cheek on one hand, looking down in contemplative thought, or propping my chin in both hands—aimed to channel that quiet, faintly melancholic temperament. Sitting on outdoor flagstones in a lightweight dress on a chilly evening left my legs numb by the end.

Convention photography tests on-the-spot adaptability and physical stamina, but seeing the faithful results on camera—especially the gaze and mood—made the effort deeply rewarding. This set puts a period on this convention trip; the greatest joy of cosplay is always refining every micro-detail to bring the image in one's mind into reality.
