This set of photos was taken at Guangzhou Chimelong Water Park in early autumn. The water temperature was noticeably cool, but that chill was precisely what helped capture this collection steeped in dewy translucence. The core highlight of the shoot was the crimson bikini paired with the semi-sheer heart-print cover-up shirt; once soaked, the fabric clinging to the skin revealed gorgeous texture, with the vibrant red creating an intense visual punch against the azure pool backdrop.
Pre-shoot prep took the most effort on the wig and makeup styling. Because water interaction was frequent, the long Red hair looked lovely cascading down but tangled easily when wet, requiring generous styling spray while keeping the bangs angled cleanly. The elongated Elf ears prop was one of my favorite design accents, catching natural light with a translucent glow under the sun. The combination of Red hair, crimson pupils, red swimwear, and Elf ears faithfully channeled an anime-inspired waterside elf persona—effortlessly crisp yet edgy.
The shooting process was demanding: we constantly shifted spots chasing ideal light, as Chimelong's dense vegetation and complex water glare posed challenges. For the seated profile pose in Photo 9 with legs extended, engaging the leg and core muscles to carve out sleek lines while holding a natural smile left my legs aching. In the water-splashing frames, droplets flew across the face in fractions of a second, requiring rapid burst shots to freeze the water beads sparkling in the sun while coordinating leg movements underwater to keep the focal balance steady amid the shimmering ripples.
I adore this cover-up shirt—the wet, semi-translucent drape offered sheer coverage over the bikini underneath, yet demanded conscious core engagement to maintain posture. Instead of rigid poses, we leaned into an effortless, lifestyle-oriented snapshot style documenting time in the water. Early autumn pool crowds were lighter than midsummer, giving us space to frame shots comfortably against Chimelong's lush resort backdrops.
The trickiest nuisance was pool water stinging the eyes, requiring constant blinking breaks; fortunately, ample ambient light ensured a high keeper rate. The crimson palette looked pristine in bright daylight, harmonizing with the early autumn chill of the pool. Conceived on a whim, the shoot focused on atmospheric mood: pairing Red hair and Elf ears within a Water play setting delivered vivid expressive impact, with candid frames capturing far more organic vitality than static posing.
