[Violet Evergarden cosplay] Becoming Violet for a Day on the Coast of Weihai

During these two days of Weihai travel photography, the itinerary was tightly packed. Alongside camera takes, my phone captured plenty of behind-the-scenes moments to share while final selects are being retouched. On the first afternoon, we headed straight to the beach and caught prime golden-hour backlighting. Sunlight illuminated the wig with clear rim lighting, though metering into the sun was tricky—the assistant held a reflector to keep my face well-lit, evoking an authentically warm mood. White gloves and the emerald brooch gleamed delicately in the sunset.

The second day focused on coastal styled vignettes. A white textured window frame draped in floral arrangements framed against the seamless sea and sky yielded rich, vibrant colors straight out of camera. Balancing atop the sill in the voluminous gown required vigilance against wood splinters while shielding squinting eyes from bright midday wall glare. Later, we explored an abandoned boardwalk with sharp reefs where forceful coastal gusts billowed the heavy gown, occasionally challenging balance and blowing fabric across my face; the photographer called to hold position, rapidly firing the shutter to capture effortless, wind-swept dynamics. Adding the miniature blue parasol yielded striking semi-silhouettes shot in RAW at f/2.8, 1/125s, and ISO 100 to safeguard shadow fidelity. Despite trekking over sandy reefs requiring shoe scrubs at the hotel, realizing Violet Evergarden in this breathtaking coastal expanse was immensely rewarding.
