[Shimoe Koharu cosplay] Blue Archive Disciplinary Committee Member's Classroom Daily Life

Today I put on Shimoe Koharu's Disciplinary Committee uniform—a black and pink palette paired with a red pleated skirt, finished off with her signature white boots and pink halo. For this shoot, I specially chose a classroom setting: wooden desks, textbooks, a small speaker, and that iconic 'Forbidden' sign were all arranged to recreate a realistic campus daily atmosphere. For the makeup, to capture the character's youthful student look, I opted for light pink-toned eye makeup paired with a soft pink wig, doing my best to portray that subtle stubbornness and seriousness of youth. A lot of effort went into the costume details: the pink piping along the black sailor collar and the neat little bow tie at the neckline had to be perfectly aligned. The black feather decoration at the back is a signature element of this outfit, so it was crucial not to let it look deflated.

The over-the-knee white thigh-highs are truly the highlight of this ensemble. The matte fabric pinching gently along the thigh edges, paired with chunky black loafers, not only elongates the leg line but also preserves that youthful vitality while staying comfortable around the ankles. During the shoot, I tried several poses: sitting on the school desk leafing through the comic labeled R18, or raising the 'Forbidden' sign to create a cute, tsundere contrast of 'this is against the rules!' The wooden classroom background and warm indoor lighting added a lively, authentic breath of air to the entire frame. Koharu's personality is actually quite tricky to capture—that earnest yet slightly scatterbrained charm can easily look either overly aggressive or too blank if not balanced properly, so I mainly relied on a calm, focused gaze to convey her persona.

To showcase the pairing of the skirt and boots on camera, I intentionally adjusted my sitting posture. The drape of the black top fabric ensures it doesn't appear bulky, and the sharp contrast of red, white, and black looks clean and striking in the shots. Rather than heavy skin blurring in post-production, I preferred keeping natural textures and lighting, which feels much truer to a daily life concept. The small white speaker by the desk was a fun touch that made the classroom feel lived-in. The halo texture was quite tricky to capture, so we experimented with lighting angles to give it a three-dimensional presence rather than looking like a flat floating icon. The book cover reading 'only you' added great flavor; while discussing with the photographer, using open pages as a visual foreground created depth and kept the composition dynamic.

From early preparation of props and makeup to on-set posing, every photo shoot is a fresh interpretation of the character. Opting for a self-contained yet well-lit classroom allowed us to use natural window light to define facial contours, while reflectors filled in the backlit shadows. Although the loose black jacket is forgiving, it can sometimes obscure body proportions, so I paid close attention to shoulder and arm angles to accentuate the slender lines created by the skirt and stockings. The delicate white and pink edge trim on the sailor uniform, along with the necktie, forms a neat V-line visual flow on the chest that elongates the neck. Capturing Koharu's ordinary moments in this quiet campus corner made for a truly enjoyable shooting experience.
