[Violet Evergarden cosplay] Violet Evergarden: Meeting pigeons and a sea of flowers today

For this official photoshoot, I selected a park with a sea of flowers photoshoot environment and plaza pigeons. The overall lighting was very translucent, producing the exact vibrant and lifelike feel I wanted. A lot of thought went into restoring details for this Violet Evergarden costume, especially the mechanical arms. Although moving around with them was indeed somewhat cumbersome—requiring controlled strength when waving or scattering bird feed—the texture felt very weighty under natural light. A flock of pigeons happened to be strolling across the plaza during the shoot, so we added a pigeon interaction segment on the spot. Opening my palm, a pigeon hesitated briefly before flying up; that exact moment caught the curve of its spreading wings, looking far more natural than forced poses.

Outdoor shoots test the state of props and skirt hems the most. In the set sitting among flower clusters, the purple allium and dark blue jacket created a very comfortable warm-and-cold contrast; tilting my head slightly to feel the light made the image so quiet and serene. Then in the shot standing on a rock looking back, the skirt hem was just blown up by the wind, and the joint details of the mechanical fingers were crisp under backlighting. The small white boat on the lawn was a serendipitously discovered landscape prop; standing inside while holding a black parasol with white trim, paired with the wind-blown white dress, created wonderful depth of field.

Since the outfit itself pairs a long dress with boots, moving around was admittedly inconvenient, especially threading through flower beds while carrying a suitcase. However, this also made actions closer to the character's everyday state. For restoring the texture of the mechanical gauntlets in the shoot, I specifically referenced the metallic luster from the settings. The actual prop reflected realistic light spots in the sunshine, forming rich visual layers alongside the white cuffs. The entire shoot lasted several hours—from pigeon interaction in the plaza to strolling through the sea of flowers photoshoot, and standing on the small boat—with nearly every pose's angle repeatedly adjusted to maintain a stretched, graceful posture.

This set of photos didn't intentionally pursue gorgeous studio lighting, but instead focused on captures in natural environments, such as the moment a pigeon flies by, or a relaxed moment sitting on the grass with eyes gently closed. Anime-style photography outdoors places high demands on a photographer's candid capturing skills, but I prefer this breathing-like natural state. Although I noticed the watermark slightly blocked the image when sorting photos, the overall atmospheric feel reached my expected effect. I hope this quiet atmosphere conveys a sense of gentleness and tenacity belonging to the character through these photos.
