[Iuno cosplay] My Main Hero in Wuthering Waves: A Flawless Presentation of Blue and Gold Armor

The costume for this Iuno cosplay features a prominent gold-and-white color scheme paired with cool-toned blue light, creating a strong contrast between hard and soft textures with a high-end feel. To reduce the weight on my upper body, I specially shaped the broad golden gorget around the neck using EVA foam before priming and spray-painting it with high-gloss gold paint, achieving both lightweight comfort and premium texture. The wing-shaped golden headpiece was internally reinforced and embedded into the wig base, ensuring the accessory remains stable during dynamic movements. The glowing ring on the hand is the core prop of the entire look; custom-curved light-guide acrylic strips combined with high-brightness LED light strips achieved an even, pale blue halo, becoming the visual focal point of the whole body. Because the glowing ring is quite bright, I tested the light reflection on my face before shooting to ensure the glow wouldn't cast directly onto the skin and cause localized color cast.

For the wig, I selected high-temperature fiber closely matching the original character's hair color, eliminating excessive neon sheen to keep the color calm yet lustrous for this Blue hair cosplay. The curve of the bangs was meticulously styled, complemented by slightly warm rose-gold eyeshadow and light-blue contacts, enhancing the cool, resolute aura while retaining a touch of liveliness.

This shoot was once again handled by @sniper. He is adept at capturing the essence of such fantasy styles. In the studio, we used a seamless gray paper backdrop to build a clean, sharp visual frame without unnecessary clutter. To showcase the textures of the armor and glowing bracelet, he utilized a combination of softboxes and reflectors, eliminating harsh shadows and granting the skin a translucent glow while preserving the sharp facets of metallic reflections. During the shoot, he also adjusted the exposure compensation specifically for the bracelet's LED light, ensuring the illuminated part did not overexpose but served as an even cool-toned light source enriching the composition's color palette. Furthermore, the use of side-backlight beautifully showcased the translucency and layering of the wig, preventing the hair from looking artificial.

Preparing this outfit—from referencing original art to correcting patterns—took nearly a month. The circular metal adornments at the waist and the semi-transparent white pearlescent tulle skirt below formed a visual contrast of soft and hard elements, creating a gentle flowing motion when walking. The inner corset structure also made me look crisper and more capable when worn. Although the temperature was high on the shooting day and the heavy armor and dense wig felt a bit warm despite the studio air conditioning, requiring short breaks for water every few shots, seeing that three-dimensional blue-and-gold silhouette in the viewfinder instantly washed away fatigue with accomplishment. I am very pleased with the fluid play of light and shadow across the photo set, especially this naturally captured pose, which perfectly froze the character's unworldly composure as a Gold-armored character. Every character recreation feels like a spiritual dialogue, and I truly enjoy this focused creative process. I hope the cleanliness and power conveyed in this image allow more people to feel my love for this character.
