[Castorice Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail — Gentle Echo Beneath a Cold Exterior

When going to shoot this set of Castorice cosplay photoshoots, my heart was actually carrying that lingering feeling from the PV all along. That line says it perfectly: "Are hands this cold... truly capable of warmth?" Every time I see that part of the storyline, my heart aches along with it. Therefore, this shoot is not just a mere roleplay, but more like a materialized expression of the character's inner emotions; I want this set of photos to showcase her distant yet fragile aesthetic beauty.

Regarding the preparation for this cosplay, a lot of thought actually went into the costume, makeup, and props. The primary color scheme of the outfit consists of extremely soft pale purple and pure white, which, paired with the large bow at the chest and the layered ruffles on the skirt hem, looks visually lightweight. Meanwhile, the black thorny crown and pointed ears on the head happen to neutralize that overly soft feeling, shaping her unique elegance and inviolability as a member of the Chrysos Heirs. I specifically selected a clean, purple-and-white themed studio, using props like European Roman pillars, white mesh tulle, and birdcages with intricate carvings. The specular reflection on the floor outlines the costume's silhouette, and combined with the soft ambient light, the entire space feels as if a layer of frost-like serenity is floating through it.

During the shooting process, I needed to deliberately restrain my expressions—not just simply striking a cool and aloof pose, but conveying a hidden sadness and confusion. For instance, standing sideways while holding the staff or gently lifting the skirt hem with one hand were all attempts to recreate her temperament: even while bearing thousands of burdens, she still maintains an elegant and decent demeanor. This set of photos can be considered my answer sheet regarding my understanding of this character; from the dark gradient gloves to the pointed high heels, every single detail does its best to align with the unique Castorice in our hearts.

As a cosplayer, restoring the character's charm with your whole heart brings a great sense of accomplishment, and this process itself is highly healing.
