[Robin cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail: Little Bird, Little Bird, We Love You!

For this shoot, I wore a custom Cheongsam Robin design, and blending angelic elements with traditional Chinese style was genuinely fun. I styled this outfit myself: over a long white dress, I layered a large white wool shawl adorned with gold embroidery and trimmed with fluffy white pom-poms. The small feathered wings on my back paired with the golden halo overhead, complemented by light purple curly hair, produced an utterly dreamlike overall effect.

The lighting at the convention was fantastic under blue skies and white clouds. I held a candied hawthorn stick as a prop; its vibrant red contrasted strikingly against the white costume, injecting a playful touch of everyday warmth into an otherwise cool, ethereal design. The photographer was exceptionally professional, paying close attention to light reflections—sunlight streaming onto the white wings created a remarkably translucent sheen. Shooting on the outdoor plaza, even with crowds and buildings in the background, careful depth-of-field control kept the character standing out sharply. For makeup, I deliberately accentuated the red details around my eyes, which, paired with light-colored contacts, made my gaze look more lively, while the pearl necklace and blue beaded bracelet elevated the overall delicacy.

The best part of attending conventions is meeting fellow fans. The second photo shows me Taking photos with cosplayers at conventions—specifically two friends cosplaying Dadao characters. Their blue-and-white armor and fur collars looked so handsome, and standing next to my white Cheongsam Robin outfit, the colors harmonized surprisingly well. Exchanging character interpretations, costume styling tips, handmade props, and funny convention stories created such a wonderful atmosphere.

The shooting process was actually quite tiring, as the headpiece and back wings were heavy, requiring us to navigate through crowds to find open corners while avoiding background clutter. However, seeing the final photos made every bit of effort worthwhile. The fun of creating custom designs lies in the creative freedom—without being strictly bound to every single official detail, the core focus stays on projecting the character's elegant and pure demeanor. Before shooting, I pondered how to better channel the character's inner essence: how to utilize the flowing drape of the skirt when posing, and how to hold the candied hawthorn naturally and adorably. Sincere thanks to the photographer for their hard work; from composition choices to pacing the shoot, they balanced comfort and great output effortlessly.
