Today at the CICF China International Comics and Animation Festival, I finally wore this school uniform that I had longed to cosplay. To truly capture the essence of the original Moe Queen, I put a lot of effort into the hair and makeup. The green contact lenses were the centerpiece of the whole look; slipping them on instantly brought out that bright, lively charm. Styling the wig took quite some time—especially getting the volume of the low pigtails and the curve of the side tendrils just right—requiring delicate micro-adjustments to look as natural as possible. The two red cherry hairpins at the crown served as the crowning touch; petite as they are, they are absolutely indispensable.

The fine details of this outfit are deeply satisfying to admire: a white short-sleeve sailor uniform accented with black-and-pink striped trim along the collar and cuffs, tied with a large pink bow at the chest, and paired with a classic black pleated skirt. To complete this uniform look, I intentionally chose over-the-knee White stockings and glossy black chunky-heeled Mary Janes. When sitting on the ground for photos, the leg lines blended beautifully with the shoes' glossy sheen, which was one of the new poses we experimented with to better showcase the full styling. Photographer NightDiva was exceptionally skilled at capturing the live light and shadow—especially in the shots with the clear umbrella, where sunlight filtered through the transparent canopy onto my face to create a luminous, airy texture. For the close-ups holding the little daisy, I kept my gaze gentle and soft to align with the character's personality.

The convention was packed with massive crowds, so finding clean angles amidst the bustling noise was definitely a challenge. Photos 5 and 6 are personal favorites: sitting on the floor allowed the folds of the pleated skirt to spread out naturally while accentuating the leg contours and shoe-and-sock pairing, while lightly reaching a hand toward the camera added a vibrant, engaging touch of interaction. The shoot was tiring, but seeing the finished photos made every bit of effort worth it. Outside on the venue's expansive plaza, blurring out the background high-rises and crowds made the subject pop with great presence. Being surrounded by so many fellow anime fans who love Sakura made this CICF trip thoroughly fulfilling, preserving these precious moments. The outdoor light shifted rapidly, sometimes requiring the clear umbrella to soften harsh rays or using building shadows to craft contrast. While this school uniform looks quite casual, radiating that bubbly, energetic anime state on camera still required continuous fine-tuning of facial expressions and poses to discover my most flattering angles.
