Reflecting on the entire process of shooting this Wuthering Waves Denia Cosplay set, my biggest takeaway was the seamless synergy between the makeup styling and the sets. First, regarding the costume: it features extensive layering, boasting not only a white main dress but also black tulle accents and pink ruffled trims. The most demanding element was the White stockings on the legs paired with the black strappy high heels featuring star-shaped buckles; walking in them was quite tricky, requiring careful balance control while posing to avoid tripping. Yet it was precisely this intricate pairing of strappy heels and White stockings that made the leg lines appear strikingly slender on camera. A sapphire pendant on the chest, a choker around the neck, and accent red gloves served as the crowning touches, lending rich dimension to the entire ensemble.

We selected two distinct sets for this shoot. The first featured a black-and-white checkerboard floor with black wrought-iron arches and warm-lit windows in the background, accompanied by scattered gold picture frames. This set was luminous and bright, evoking a fairytale ambiance reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland. I chose to sit on a chair angled slightly in profile, which highlighted the costume's overall silhouette while flawlessly showcasing the White stockings and strappy shoes. Because the framing was clean, centered, and free of watermarks, it naturally became the cover of this photo set.

The second set was a dark Gothic style banquet hall. The backdrop featured dark stone carvings and vibrant stained-glass windows, while the table was adorned with red candles, golden cutlery, and wine goblets. With dimmer ambient lighting focused predominantly on me, it produced a much moodier, immersive atmosphere. Sitting atop the long table with legs extended forward worked wonderfully to showcase leg length and the sweeping train of the gown. However, this image had a watermark in the lower-right corner, which might compromise cover aesthetics, so after weighing the options, I decided against using it as the cover.

As for hair and makeup: the voluminous pink wavy wig was styled with plenty of wax for hold, topped with a bow, and paired with custom heterochromatic colored contacts to give my gaze an alluring, enigmatic mystique. The shoot was physically taxing due to holding static poses under studio lights for extended periods, especially given the strain of high heels. Fortunately, the photographer was fantastic at directing, and the final results look incredible. The phrase 'Good Denia, Bad Denia' feels very fitting for the dual mood conveyed across these shots—blending aloof mystique with a hint of playful indulgence. Creating in this style was an exciting milestone in expanding my expressive boundaries.

Throughout the shoot, the photographer adjusted lighting angles repeatedly, paying special attention to the reflections on the White stockings to prevent them from getting swallowed by the dark backdrop. Post-production focused primarily on preserving natural skin texture. I absolutely love the resulting aesthetic; though dressing up and undressing was quite a chore, seeing the final photos made every second worthwhile. It was truly a fantastic cosplay creative experience.
