[Shigure Ui Cosplay] Refreshing Blue-and-White Swimsuit Cosplay Photoset on a Summer Beach

For this Shigure Ui swimsuit cosplay photoset, I chose an outdoor beach location with crystal clear water and fine sand.

The deep blue one-piece swimsuit, paired with white plush hair ties and white stockings (over-knee socks), forms a classic and high-contrast color scheme. This blue-and-white visual effect looks exceptionally refreshing against the beach and the shimmering seawater. The white area on the front of the swimsuit printed with the Japanese word 'イチゴ' (strawberry) not only breaks the monotony of the pure blue swimsuit but also increases the character's recognition. The strawberry embroidery pattern located on the side waist is an indispensable, cute detail of the overall styling. During composition, I intentionally slung the swim ring over my right arm so that the blue-and-white striped ring visually echoed the swimsuit and the beach. At the same time, it naturally supported my arm's posture, avoiding any stiffness from forced posing.

The core focus of this makeup and styling was the eye makeup. The emerald green contact lenses paired with a light pink, naturally lustrous lip glaze greatly enhanced the clarity and translucent feel of the face. The light blonde twin-tails are the character's signature feature, while the two white plush hair ties added a fluffy texture to the overall look. When shooting under strong light, wigs tend to reflect light and look washed out, so in post-processing, I deliberately adjusted the highlight compression to make the hair texture clearer and more natural, allowing the edges of the pom-poms to retain soft shadows. Handling white stockings on a sun-drenched beach is actually quite challenging. Overexposure would make the legs lose their sense of outline, so during the shoot, I had the photographer use a backlighting and fill-light strategy, making full use of the sea's natural reflection to illuminate my face and swimsuit while keeping the texture of the socks just right—both breathable and free from excessive glare.

This beach photography session in the summer heat was actually not easy. The sea wind was very strong, and the twin-tailed wig would get messy from time to time. To ensure the smoothness of the hair strands and the fullness of the hair ties, we had to repeatedly tidy up and reshoot. At the same time, standing on the wet sand holding the swim ring required constant attention to my footing, lest losing my balance would deform the pose. Although the process was somewhat tiring, seeing the final results of this swimsuit cosplay photoset made all the effort feel instantly worth it. The lighting of the entire photoset is very warm, with the azure blue of the seawater perfectly blending with the deep blue of the swimsuit, presenting a strong sense of transparency. Regarding the specific posing, this particular hand gesture (holding the swim ring with one arm and raising a half-clenched fist to the chest) visually shortens the distance while making the lower body look longer. Combined with a slightly angled shooting perspective from the front, it not only showcases the cut of the swimsuit but also avoids potential facial shadows caused by harsh light, giving the facial features a soft, three-dimensional look.

Overall, this swimsuit attire with a refreshing blue-and-white color scheme beautifully restored the character's light and slightly playful temperament. Whether it is color coordination, the use of props, or the choice of camera language, everything closely revolved around highlighting the character's traits and the summer atmosphere. For outdoor shoots, the cleanliness of the water and sand directly affects the texture of the final photos, and the sea area and beach selected this time perfectly met those requirements. In the final retouching, I adopted a bright and clear style, making the blue of the sea and swimsuit more saturated while retaining the natural flush of the skin tone, ensuring a unified and distinct atmosphere for the entire set of photos.
