This time, I took on Dusk's Jasper Inkstone skin from Arknights. This visual design carries strong Eastern fantasy elements, so from preparation to shooting, every single detail went through repeated deliberation. What captivated me most about the Jasper Inkstone costume was its sense of layering and asymmetrical tailoring. To faithfully capture that ethereal yet composed presence, the outer robe used pearlescent sheer gossamer, while the inner lining was crafted from deep cyan brocade with subtle jacquard patterns. The red-and-white plum knot adorning the chest served as the visual focal point of the entire ensemble; I specifically asked the tailor to revise it three times to ensure the petal curves draped as naturally as in the character art. The red tassels and braided cord knots provided wonderful drape, swaying gently with every step to add dynamic grace to the frames.

Regarding the hairstyle, Dusk's long, straight black hair looks simple at first glance, but in reality requires meticulous styling. I spent considerable time perfecting the bang partings to prevent stiff wig seams. For the teal, branch-like horns atop the head, I chose a material with a subtle gradient sheen that reveals a translucent glow under studio lights. Given the character's pointed elf ears and red eyes, the makeup emphasized layered eyeshadow, blending deep reds toward the outer corners to match the contacts and closely capture her aloof, enigmatic gaze. The black choker around the neck and miniature golden charms were also faithfully recreated strictly according to design.

The props were equally formidable. The red-and-white greatsword was the absolute heavyweight piece of this shoot; to evoke the authentic feeling of wielding a weighty weapon, I specifically practiced holding it steadily with one hand before the session. There was also the long staff adorned with flowering branches, where pink blossoms intertwined with red ribbons to strike a fierce contrast against the sharpness of the greatsword. We also prepared a classical palace lantern with tassels; holding it amidst rising smoke instantly conjured a celestial fantasy mood. When shooting the scene holding the art scroll, I deliberately slowed my motions to foster a sense of tranquil composure before putting brush to paper.

The studio chosen was Ruyuan Eiga Photo Studio, where the set dressing was remarkably exquisite. The circular illuminated niche in the background, paired with golden openwork filigree, alongside warm yellow lantern light sources on both sides, forged a stunning cool-warm contrast against the cyan-blue tones of the garment. Dry ice was spread across the floor to produce drifting smoke; to capture light and shadow nuances through the mist, the photographer continually adjusted the lighting angles. From leaning seated and reclining postures to standing and swinging the sword, I explored various poses to express the elegant yet dangerous tension Dusk commands in her Jasper Inkstone skin. The reclining pose on the sofa especially demanded balancing the garment's fold lines with focused eye contact, requiring several angles to reach the ideal effect.

The entire shoot went very smoothly, stretching from afternoon into the evening. Although wearing heavy classical garments and holding heavy props was physically demanding, seeing the final photos made every pose adjustment and lighting coordination completely worth it. Merging Chinese traditional style with anime elements has always held an enchanting allure, and this work feels like a truly satisfying accomplishment.
