[Hu Tao Cosplay] Wangsheng Funeral Parlor Guest's Night Tour of Jinli

The warm yellow lantern glow of Jinli at night, paired with this modified Chinese-style cosplay outfit, creates an overall atmosphere that perfectly fits the character's mysterious and playful nature.

When I got this set of final photos, the first thing I noticed was how well the scene and lighting fit together. The ancient street at night was draped with lanterns, and the red-orange light hit the bluestone pavement, illuminating the dark fabric of the outfit and the golden cloud patterns with rich layers. The highlight of this shoot was this关系 meticulously crafted outfit. The black flat-topped hat features a diamond-shaped talisman seal, decorated on the side with red plum blossoms and dangling long tassels, carrying an inherently nimble and playful vibe. The top is a black-based modified Chinese-style outfit with large areas of pale gold subtle patterns; the frog button details on the red collar retain traditional charm, while the cropped hem design allows for more flexible movement.

The matching bottom consists of black short safety shorts and pure white over-the-knee socks, with an extra red thin cord wrapped around the leg as decoration, making it visually very recognizable. On my feet were chunky-heeled black leather shoes, which offered a sense of weight while walking and nicely controlled the overall proportions in this White thigh-highs outfit. Stylist "Xun Yi" handled details with great precision; orange-red colored contact lenses enhanced the spirit in my gaze, which, combined with matte lipstick, made the makeup clean and crisp while preserving the character's energetic vibe.

The polearm weapon held in hand during shooting was also a great bonus; the long shaft with alternating red and black diamond patterns, along with the flame-shaped spearhead on top, felt heavy in hand and conveyed plenty of power when posing. Under this lighting, a wide-aperture lens naturally blurred the distant lantern light spots, while contours of ancient buildings and wooden structures were faintly visible in the background, creating a deeply immersive Chinese-style night tour feel.

In terms of pose design, the playful pose in Photo 1 of lifting one leg beautifully showcased leg lines and red strap details, which, combined with several white ghost special effects added by the photographer in post-processing, instantly gave the image a storylike feel unique to anime. In other full-body and close-up shots, whether slinging the weapon over one shoulder or looking back at the camera, every attempt was made to capture that sly yet confident and composed feel inherent to the character. During shooting, the wind occasionally blew through long loose hair or lifted the tassels at the outfit's corners; these random dynamic moments from nature brought an unexpected vitality to the photos.

For this outdoor photoshoot at Jinli night view to turn out so successfully, special thanks go to stylist "Xun Yi" for crafting the exquisite look, photographer "Tang Mu You" for accurately capturing light-and-shadow textures late at night, and assistants "Su Xiao" and "Xiao Wu" for helping carry props and adjust outfit hems before and after shooting. Looking at the fitted costume and wig, facing the camera lens in that moment is truly the most immersive experience of roleplaying a character. She is not an empty template, but someone who needs to be interpreted under specific environments and lighting in synergy with one's body language. What each shoot leaves behind is not just photos, but a creative process of pouring heart and soul into an anime character.
