Finalizing the makeup and styling for this Stardust look took a lot of thought, and it wasn't until standing under the actual street light that I felt the layered textures brought by different materials on the costume. This street location was chosen for its retro elements; the colorful crosswalk and the vintage red car created a perfect contrast with the overall purple and black base tone of this Anime-style outfit.

I paid extra attention to the front bangs of the wig during styling, and the iconic ahoge (cowlick) on top of my head was firmly set to ensure it wouldn't collapse during dynamic movements. The black top features an off-the-shoulder and ruffled design, and the pleated treatment inside the sleeves adds a visual fluffiness, while the purple patchwork and fine tassels on the skirt hem bring a natural fluid motion when walking. The shoes were specially paired with lace-up chunky-heeled Mary Janes to strike a balance between adding height and maintaining my center of gravity.

We chose several different actions on-site. The close-up photo stretching out a hand was to enhance the sense of interaction; the one looking back and turning sideways was mainly to display the drape of the wig and the details on the back; the full-body shots waiting for the red light and walking on the crosswalk were intended to embody the character's sense of traversing through a real-world neighborhood. The ribbon was actually an unexpected aid; capturing the snapshot of waving the ribbon happened to echo the colored lines on the ground with the tassels on the clothing for this Cosplay photography session.

In terms of handling light and shadow, the daytime natural light was very bright. We paid attention to reflections during shooting to prevent the white wig from overexposing and losing details under strong light, while also preserving the shadow layers of the dark clothing. This outfit is highly flexible for movement, and the photographer's snapshots were very precise, allowing me to easily extend and make various poses.

Bringing a 2D design into a 3D everyday street scene actually requires appropriately adjusting the center of gravity and distribution of accessories, including the tightness of the leg rings and waist belts. This is not just a simple change of clothes, but an immersion into the character's temperament.

Looking back at the whole process, including changing, adjusting hair/makeup, and finding composition angles, it took up almost the entire afternoon. Looking at the streets, passing pedestrians, and vehicles in the final photos truly brings a wonderful experience of breaking the dimension wall. Carrying this memory, it counts as a satisfying answer to my outdoor shooting experience.
