Aru, the boss of Problem Solver 68 from Blue Archive, completed a set of highly atmospheric photos in this bar setting in Shenzhen. This location was chosen mainly due to the depth of the wine cabinet here and the layers of warm yellow lighting. The dark walls and wooden wine shelves effectively accentuate the subject. There are retro carvings under the bar counter, so I sat on it naturally, maintaining a relaxed and casual posture. During this Cosplay photography session, the focus was placed on light and shadow sculpting. As seen in the behind-the-scenes photos, we set up outdoor strobe lights, with the main light source positioned at the front upper side, utilizing a softbox to soften the facial contours. This not only preserved the dark, tipsy Bar atmosphere appropriate for a bar but also rendered the catchlights in the eyes and the skin texture beautifully translucent. The entire wall of wine shelves behind me served as the best backdrop, filled with wine bottles of various colors, including some blue-green transparent glass bottles. This added a few touches of cool colors to the overall warm orange tone, making the image colors very rich. This time, it wasn't just about taking static half-body photos; there were also interactive moments of casually holding a wine bottle by the bar counter. The whole process involved great tacit understanding with the photographer. He knew I wanted a feeling that both fit the character setting and leaned slightly lazy and elegant, so he paid close attention to avoiding stiff standing poses when guiding my movements. This studio here for Photography in Shenzhen is fully equipped from environmental decor to lighting equipment. For cosers who want to shoot a similar light-luxury bar style or night atmosphere, it is indeed a hassle-free choice. There is no need for excessive post-color grading; simply controlling the exposure and white balance yields very comfortable straight-out-of-the-camera colors, which significantly improves the efficiency of the final photos. Wearing this wine-red velvet gown paired with white gloves is inherently elegant, but stepping barefoot on the wooden bar or leather sofa instead combines this elegance with a relaxed, private space vibe. The presence of posters on the wall and various liquor bottles on the shelves successfully restored this fictional scene into a realistically viable night-operating venue. I feel that presenting this side of Aru outside of Problem Solver 68 came out quite naturally, offering a completely different flavor from everyday street view photos, and it expands the possibilities of this character across different scenarios.
