[Exusiai the New Covenant Cosplay] The Passenger Seat Isn't Just for Anyone to Sit In

Driving a red beast feels pretty good indeed, but if you want to pull open the car door and sit in the passenger seat, there always has to be some special test. At the BW 2026 venue this time, I drove this carefully prepared itasha to meet everyone in the look of Exusiai the New Covenant.
Although the props and clothes of the set were repeatedly checked long before departure, after changing at light speed on-site, I still found some small details that needed temporary adjustment. This techwear jacket worn this time adopts quite a bit of leather and stiff fabrics, and shooting in the dim light environment inside the car gives it an exceptional texture. Especially those silver metal chains and red-and-black cable ornaments wrapping around the shoulders and neckline, under the complex overhead lighting of the exhibition hall, the reflection effect was perfectly in place, and it just happened to create a strong visual echo with my red-orange short wig. When making this long pendant earring by my ear, I specially requested to add cyan-blue embellishments, which, combined with the metal base, can pop out a bit of highlight in the cool-toned lens.
Regarding the on-site itasha, it is indeed a very big plus. The car door frame, steering wheel, and that splash of bright red sports car body in the foreground are almost perfectly aligned with my character's tone. You should also be able to see the faintly appearing RS logo on the seat behind me. A high-performance sports car paired with this techwear outfit carrying sci-fi colors—I personally love this setting very much. Before going, I was worried that this highly reflective paint surface would overexpose under the indoor lighting, but the on-site photographer's lighting was just right, using the tires and the car's windshield to make a natural picture frame, focusing the visual center entirely on the details of the character's head and shoulders, forming an inside-outside scene transition full of storytelling through this piece of Cosplay photography.
Exhibiting at a convention like BW actually severely tests the character's aura. Because the on-site crowd flow is massive, the surrounding environment inevitably has a cluttered feel, requiring one to constantly maintain that energy. The seemingly calm gaze and relaxed state in the photos were actually shot with a bit of tension under the photographer's guidance. That feeling of sitting in the driver's seat and tilting my head slightly is both a restoration of the character's confident yet casual state in the original setting, and my current capture of this character's emotion.
Every time when shooting this kind of photo with a specific vehicle setting or specific scenario, communicating with the photographer about the lighting inside the car and lens angles beforehand is actually the key to beautiful outputs. The interior space is narrow; if the car frame isn't used as a foreground, the image can easily look flat and lose depth. The bokeh light spots captured with a large aperture this time are also very natural, and the blurred spots from the red car body serve just right as foreground embellishments, not overshadowing the main subject but blending seamlessly with the highlights on the hair strands.
As for the test of getting in the car to sit in the passenger seat, it's mainly based on prop protection and exhibition hall order. I hope everyone can also enjoy what they love at the convention.
