Regarding the creation of this Hsin photo set, we scrutinized countless details from the character's official art long before finalizing the makeup. The outfit boasts remarkable dimensional depth: the classic palette of red, black, white, and gold, enhanced by intricate embroidery, demands delicate care for every layer of sheer gauze and fur trim. In particular, the off-the-shoulder bodice required two people just to help put on and take off in order to achieve a snug fit with natural breathability on camera. The headpiece proved a major hurdle—the colossal animal ears not only had to convey authentic plush softness, but their internal wire armatures had to be calibrated to ensure they never appeared rigid from any camera angle. The silver-white long hair was accented with black highlights, which, alongside the golden forehead chain and the crimson forehead mark, cultivated an otherworldly, hauntingly cool aesthetic. The massive tail behind me was another centerpiece; the golden star-shaped straps and black ribbons intertwined flawlessly, requiring constant attention to its silhouette whether sitting or reclining to keep it looking lifelike and vibrant.
The set design required extensive dedication. To honor this Eastern fantasy aesthetic, we crafted a scene framed with cherry blossom boughs and warm spherical lanterns, layering dry ice across the floor to produce a low-lying mist that evoked an ethereal world far removed from mundane reality. For the opening composition on the swing, aiming to project languid ease, I consciously relaxed my neck and shoulders to let my body sink naturally with gravity; paired with downcast eyes and a hand propping up my chin, an effortless, unforced allure emerged. Transitioning to the two shots on the bamboo raft, I adjusted the way my legs crossed and leaned forward to interact directly with the lens—that direct, penetrating gaze is the core of the character's charm, while beautifully accentuating the neckline detailing and leg contours. In the final shot with feet dangling into the water, the lighting struck the surface mist, creating shimmering aquatic reflections that brought dynamic vitality to the frame. In front of the camera, from the crimson markings on the back of my hand to the subtle curve of my fingertips, everything stayed anchored in character, with eye focus and chin elevation perfected through repeated trials.
Throughout the shoot, I continuously pondered how to balance Hsin's fox-like nature with her divine aura. Her gaze needed both vulpine cunning and an aloof, elevated chill. The fabrics shimmered delicately under intense lighting, where the contrast between sheer tulle and plush fur enriched tactile depth. Special thanks go to photographer Martin for his pinpoint captures, constantly guiding me toward the most flawless lighting tangents and framing every shot with sublime precision. And of course, my heartfelt apologies go out to the interns on set—because I'm quite a perfectionist about details, we adjusted reflector angles and dress draping repeatedly, which was exhausting for everyone, so please don't feel burdened! I hope this presentation allows everyone to feel the fox spirit's singular charm; every polished detail was pursued to draw infinitely closer to that phantom figure dwelling in fantasy.
