[Xishi Cosplay] Honor of Kings Xishi Flash Project: School Uniform Style Recreation

Doing a Xishi cosplay from Honor of Kings has always been a challenge I really wanted to try. Under this Flash Project theme, I chose this modern school uniform cosplay outfit to show another side of her youthful vitality outside the traditional ancient-style framework. Regarding costume details, the white shirt really tests the tailoring; the slightly unbuttoned collar and neatly positioned dark blue tie required repeated adjustments, otherwise it could easily look a bit bulky. The light gray blazer overlay features dark blue color-blocking on the cuffs, creating a great color harmony with the overall blue plaid pleated skirt. The lace ruffle lining underneath also adds a touch of feminine softness to the crisp school uniform tailoring.

When pairing with white over-the-knee socks, I specifically chose a material with good elasticity so that folds wouldn't ruin body proportions during leg-raising movements; combined with black chunky-heeled leather shoes, it visually elongates the leg lines. For the poses, I balanced on one leg atop a white cylindrical display pedestal with the other leg raised high and both arms stretched wide open, maximizing the display of this school uniform's skirt hem and waistline. My hair, blowing in the wind from a fan, created an agile feeling of dancing in the breeze. Many people ask how to give a character expressiveness against a pure white background—I think the key lies in eye contact and body language. Although the background is minimalist, extending the arms and shifting the center of gravity can simulate the airy lightness of in-game skills.

As for makeup and hair, this long straight black hair with straight-across bangs is an iconic feature of Xishi's original skin. To prevent the strands from looking messy, I did a lot of layered trimming. That blue plaid headband not only offsets the heavy dullness of long hair in color, but also serves to raise the visual center of gravity. During the shoot, I imagined Xishi's confident, composed, yet slightly playful personality. Honestly, to embody a game character, besides having accurate clothes, the overall atmosphere is a crucial link. Through this set of photos, I feel the name \"Flash Project\" is very fitting—whether an unfocused upward glance or these stretched-out poses, I hope to convey an unfettered sense of freedom. My love for this outfit comes not just from its looks, but because it combines practical wearable appeal with 2D anime aesthetic on top of staying faithful to game settings. I hope these photos allow everyone to see a Xishi who exists not only on screen, but can genuinely walk right up beside you. Shooting such a clean scene demands higher lighting control; we did plenty of lighting adjustments during the studio shoot to ensure the white socks and shirt wouldn't be overexposed while clearly preserving the skirt's blue plaid pattern. All in all, this shooting experience gave me a deeper understanding of Xishi as a character and further sparked my interest in continuing to explore various character styles in Honor of Kings.
