From test-fitting to the official shoot, preparing the gear for this Hsin cosplay took about half a month. The wig was specifically styled and trimmed by a dedicated wig stylist; the silver-white hair required a voluminous, layered texture. The colossal black-and-white beast ears atop my head had fine wire structures inside to ensure they stood upright with natural fur flow during this Japanese-style photoshoot. The overall costume follows a classic palette of red, black, and white, adorned across the chest and waist with metallic ornaments and colorful gems. Putting it on involved adjusting layers of straps in the back, which, combined with the heavy white tail behind me, made the overall weight a real test of physical stamina.

For makeup, I deliberately deepened the red eyeshadow and eyeliner, applied sweat-proof body paint for the crest at the center of my forehead, and wore long crimson manicures to bring out an enchanting, otherworldly aura. Shooting at @Taotao Studio this time, the set design was genuinely top-notch. The backdrop featured a massive full-moon lightbox alongside dense crimson maple scenery. Complemented by the lighting technician's rim and side lighting, the hair strands and plush fur edges were luminously outlined. The studio was filled with heavy smoke to evoke a tranquil nighttime mood. During shooting, I had to balance languid poses—leaning and arching my back—while controlling the flow of the colossal tail to keep it looking natural and poised with tension.

To achieve that mysterious visual ambiance, several sets were shot sitting or kneeling on the wooden floor. Shifting around in this attire on wooden planks was quite tricky, and metal chain ornaments around my feet and wrists somewhat restricted movement. The photographer excelled at capturing subtle gazes and hand gestures; during the shoot, I continually sought a detached yet subtly assertive gaze, playing with the tip of my tail or gently stroking my cheek. The shooting schedule was very compact, and the crew had seamless synergy. Scenes dominated by intense red put camera white balance to the test, but thankfully, the lighting tech balanced the warm yellow moonlight with the crimson maple atmosphere with great depth and gradation. The color saturation and layered details in this 2D cosplay photoshoot set are truly worth savoring.
