This finished photo set of Honor of Kings Yang Yuhuan's Spring Whispers on Silver Wings was completed indoors through Studio cosplay. Right after receiving the costume, I tried it on and tidied up the details. The overall design blends Miao ethnic style cosplay elements with a modern fantasy classical style, with a primary color palette of purple and white gradients. The top is a white high-neck midriff-baring outfit, with the neckline spliced with purple fabric and silver metal decorations; the sleeves adopt a detached design, and the wrist guards and feather decorations create a wonderful dynamic effect when raising the hands. The pleated miniskirt of the bottom piece is treated with a light blue-purple gradient, and the sheer fabric of the skirt hem along with the waist ribbons reveal a light, airy texture under the lighting.
The prop is a fantasy-style string instrument whose main body is purple, featuring silver decorations and a circular sound box. Because the prop itself has some weight, figuring out how to hold the instrument naturally during the shoot was a detail that required repeated adjustments. I tried a standing pose holding the instrument with one hand, which also required using core strength to lift one leg to match the overall visual balance. Another set of sitting poses utilized a white cylindrical platform as a support point, allowing the body to appear relaxed yet elegant, with one hand resting naturally on the knee.
The wig is a silver-white long straight hair with blunt bangs, and the hair ornaments on top feature complex silver floral and feather structures, requiring plenty of bobby pins to secure firmly. For the makeup, contact lenses with a purplish-grey tint were used to echo the costume's colors; the eye makeup was deepened and blended, and a soft light pink was chosen for the lips. During the shoot, paired with a softbox, I tried to keep the skin tone and costume texture clean and translucent.
To fit the setting of a music maiden, the action choreography heavily emphasized the interaction between hands and props, as well as the conveyance of the gaze. The advantage of a solid color background in Studio cosplay is that it allows the colors of the character and costume to stand out to the maximum extent without being disturbed by a messy background. It is necessary to pay attention to limb extension and the direction of the sheer ribbons, keeping the lines in every photo as smooth as possible. The overall shooting rhythm was quite compact, with the focus placed on how to use body language to restore the character's lively and fantastical essence.
