[University Road Street Night Photography] Leather Jacket Outfit & Red Wig Cosplay Shoot Until Midnight

The street night photography session outside the University Road Lawson that evening was easily one of our most entertaining late-night shooting experiences recently.

We worked continuously from 9 PM until midnight before finally wrapping up and heading home. Although I felt the red wig didn't fit quite right and fell short of the absolute perfection I had envisioned, the overall styling—combining the leather jacket outfit with a crisp white shirt and tie—produced final photos that far exceeded expectations.

The atmosphere on set was pure joy. As soon as we stepped into position outside Lawson, we instantly became the focal point of the whole street. Many passing pedestrians stopped to watch, and a few even sang "Night Dancer" as they walked by. The funniest moment was encountering a passerby who shouted "Yamato-san~~!" from afar. We were instantly cracked up by this quirky tacit understanding, feeling as though the wall between 2D and reality had completely shattered.

Standing at street corners, behind the supermarket back entrance, or directly under convenience store lights allowed us to capture completely distinct textures of light and shadow. Special thanks to Naizui-ge and his wife for wandering the streets with us late into the night, staying up until the early morning hours to finish shooting. The resulting photos captured that everyday street aesthetic blended with a distinct anime quality. Even if the red wig acted up a bit whenever the wind blew, capturing these precious moments where 2D leaks into reality alongside anime enthusiasts was truly unforgettable. Given the chance, I'd love to try street night photography like this again in the future.
