[Xia He cosplay] The Outcast All-Night Flesh-Scraper: Industrial Style Photo Record

As one of the Four Madnesses—Lust—I selected Xia He from Quan Xing in The Outcast as the theme for this photo set, trying a collision of cool glamour and sensuality in a dark gray industrial zone. Though this look appears simple, execution presented genuine challenges; particularly that long Pink wig, which required considerable technique in an open area to achieve a natural flowing feel.

First regarding makeup and hair: base makeup was intentionally lightened to approach Xia He's sickly yet aggressive aura, selecting distinct pink-red shades for blush and lips, extending eyeliner, and pairing with light blue contact lenses to focus her gaze. The tank top was chosen after repeated selection; the large black text print on the chest is its soul, paired with distressed denim shorts to faithfully recreate that effortless yet sharp demeanor. To boost visual impact, long black gloves were indispensable—not only sculpting arm lines but also commanding strong presence within a black-white dominant canvas.

Selecting the location proved vital. Steering clear of crowded anime conventions, we found this slightly remote industrial area. Dark gray concrete floors and metallic iron fences created a powerful visual contrast against Xia He's vibrant pink, white, and black palette. Though site lighting was dim, the photographer used flash and hard light to sculpt clear character outlines, while fence shadows behind kept the frame from looking empty.

When posing, given the character's bold and free-spirited personality, I needed to convey a confident, relaxed sense of ease. For instance, in the shot flicking the wig, capturing the natural arc of hair floating through the air took several attempts—not only managing force, but also constantly watching whether metal guardrails on the ground might snag the shorts. Sitting poses incorporated a white fluffy mat to add gentle softness within the cold environment. White stockings paired with high heels elongated leg lines, though standing angles required careful attention to avoid awkward leg posture.

Sharing these photos aims to showcase the texture and narrative depth cosplay can produce in specific environments beyond convention check-ins. Although minor accidents occurred—such as ground dust smudging the White stockings black—subtle post-processing preserved ample atmospheric tension. Xia He's charm rests in her effortless poise and unignorable presence; I hope this contrast between cool tones and pink conveys that unique aura.

Regarding the Pink wig, pink shades easily appear plastic-like, so I performed a de-glossing treatment before shooting and curled the bangs to fit character contours. The white inner shorts paired with denim shorts felt somewhat thin outdoors, but shooting in an indoor space kept temperatures manageable without extra warming layers. The thin White stockings easily snagged, requiring cautious foot and knee placement whenever adjusting poses—one of the trickiest technical challenges during the shoot.

Overall, cooperation with the photographer went smoothly. Aiming for a clean yet powerful composition, we avoided overly complex props, using only the metal fence as a backdrop. Switching between standing and sitting postures, varied hand gestures—like touching cheeks or crossing arms—communicated character emotion. I intentionally preserved open skin exposure and leg extension movements to enhance sensual tones, echoing the character's inherent traits.

Looking at the raw shots after wrapping up, the results exceeded expectations, proving that early preparation and scene synergy matter immensely. This went beyond simple roleplay into re-shaping character personality in real space. I hope this share inspires friends who enjoy this style with fresh creative ideas.
