[Yuzuriha Inori cosplay] Guilty Crown classic red combat suit restoration - Image 1

The focus of this Yuzuriha Inori styling lies in the wig and makeup. If a pink wig is not handled well, it easily looks lacking in texture, so I spent two days in advance thinning and trimming layers for the wig, especially leaving the sideburns on both sides of the cheeks longer and giving them a slightly outward-curling arc, which can better modify the face shape. A small amount of star-shaped sequins was added between the top and the hair strands, giving a fine shimmering feel under the light. The red bow hair ornament on the left side was made separately, fixed to the hair clip with hot melt glue, and then clipped onto the wig for easy adjustment of position.

In terms of makeup, to match the red pupil color, I used a slightly whiter foundation for the base makeup and made the setting quite solid to maintain a matte texture. Eye makeup is the key; eyeshadow used a large-area blending of reddish-brown tones, with the end of the eye deepened, and the eyeliner pulled flat with a slight upward flick. The contact lenses chosen are high-pigment red ones, and I dropped eye drops before wearing them, keeping the shooting time within four hours to avoid dry eyes. The lip color was chosen as a slightly dark true red, with edges slightly blended out using a cotton swab to reduce the sharpness of the edges, bringing out a bit of Yuzuriha Inori's unique coexistence of gentleness and detachment.

The details of the costume are also worth mentioning. This red full-body red combat suit is made of patent leather material with extremely high gloss, but the cost is that it is completely non-breathable, takes quite a bit of effort to put on, and wrinkles easily. The black hollow splicing at the chest and shoulder positions is a highlight of the original design; to fit the body curves, I added anti-slip tape inside. The red long gloves on the arms are also patent leather, with a very stiff texture. The advantage is that they can well maintain hand posing, while the disadvantage is that there is an obvious pulling sensation when the elbows are bent, so the movement range during shooting cannot be too large. The black choker on the neck just covers the joint of the neckline, and the outer-wearing orange semi-transparent jacket adds a bit of ethereal feel, making up for the overly tough visual effect of the patent leather.

The shooting location was chosen indoors with relatively concentrated lighting. To capture the reflective texture of the patent leather, the main light source came from the front side, matching the white wall as a reflector to outline the outline of the clothes. In terms of actions, I didn't make overly exaggerated poses: hands crossed over the chest, body slightly sideways, eyes looking straight into the lens, which can get closer to Yuzuriha Inori's quiet yet powerful feeling. Post-retouching mainly retained the texture of the skin, adjusted the saturation of red, and made the overall picture closer to the original's cool-toned dark-style atmosphere.

From preparation to shooting, the whole process took about three weeks. Wig trimming and trial makeup took up most of the energy because I had to repeatedly adjust the flow of hair strands and the density of eye makeup. The details of the costume also needed to be slowly worn in to make the clothes fit my body shape better. Every anime cosplay is a re-understanding of the character, and I hope to showcase Yuzuriha Inori's special charm through this set of photos.
