[Iuno Cosplay] Wuthering Waves Iuno, Frozen Moments Under the Moonlight at the Convention

This outfit interwoven with gold and pure white was fully realized in physical form for the first time at Changsha ACC Anime Convention. The hair ornaments and accessory details were far more intricate than expected, especially the golden winged crown on top and the light blue gradient highlight at the ends, which displayed vibrant colors under the strong venue fill lights. To enhance accuracy and create a longer silhouette, I chose to shoot barefoot without shoes; the white bandages wrapped around the legs paired with golden ring accessories created a striking visual extension in the final shots.

Collaborating with photographer WiFi at the anime convention, these photos aimed to showcase the costume's structural design and the character's aloof demeanor. In several final shots, I struck different poses on a black high stool and a golden round base. When sitting, I raised my arms to complement facial expressions with varied hand gestures. The side-lying posture on the circular base put the fabric and bandages to the test during body extensions; fortunately, the moderate stiffness of the white fabric and golden armor minimized creases from cluttering the frame.

We specifically utilized softboxes and side-backlighting during the shoot. Beyond illuminating facial details, this setup beautifully outlined the rim light around the edges of the blue twintails, making the transition from deep blue to light blue look natural. The metallic portions of the costume reacted sensitively to light; controlling the angle allowed the golden arm guards, neckpiece, and leg bands to transition between matte and glossy textures, adding much enjoyable flexibility to Cosplay photography on set.

Due to heavy foot traffic at the Anime convention, capturing clean backgrounds and centered compositions required snatching specific timing windows. I was particularly pleased with Photo 2's composition: the body forms a diagonal line with a direct gaze at the lens, perfectly complemented by the flat color contrast of the base for a unified style. Though the hall environment was noisy, utilizing darker background tones helped highlight the subject's key bright areas.

Receiving the convention photos, my first reaction was that all the effort invested in the costume and styling paid off with incredible visual rewards. The white, blue, and gold color scheme proved eye-catching in a large convention setting, while the barefoot presentation combined with layered bandages made leg lines stand out visually. In post-processing, WiFi maintained a cool-toned palette, aligning seamlessly with the character's ethereal and exotic aesthetic.

Lastly, immense thanks to the on-site crew for their help with makeup and adjustments. From securing the wig to fitting metal accessories, every detail reflected careful prep work. Using these live convention photos to record highlight moments from Changsha ACC Anime Convention makes every shot a precious, authentic record.
