The core of this shoot was to recreate Odette's cool and elegant demeanor. For the overall color palette, I chose a combination of ice blue and pure white, brightened with delicate gold details to avoid visual monotony. The wig selected was a light blue-silver style woven with ultra-fine shimmering threads. The crown styling on top underwent multiple adjustments, which, paired with the white hollowed-out headpiece, gave the crown of my head a very full shape. To fit her aloof aura, I opted for a cool-toned eyeshadow palette paired with light purple gradient lenses, conveying a clear, vibrant gaze. The eyeliner was slightly extended at the outer corners, matching the lash curl to brighten the eyes. A rose-jelly shade was used for the lips, keeping the makeup clean and crisp while maintaining a healthy glow.
The clothing display details are extensive: the top features a combined halter and strapless cut, ensuring an off-the-shoulder look without slipping off easily. The white fluffy neck collar not only added cozy warmth but also smoothed the shoulder-to-neck line transition naturally. The gold chest ornaments used heavy appliqué and foil stamping, creating a 3D relief visual texture. The cutout designs on both sides of the waist featured ruby-textured pendants, providing a striking color focal point amid the cool blue-and-white palette.
The sleeve design is quite interesting—it's detachable. One side is a white feather-textured puff sleeve, while the other is a dark blue long fingerless sleeve cover; this asymmetric design adds dramatic tension to the outfit. The skirt is a classic fan-pleated miniskirt. The outer white fabric received a special pearlescent finish that reflects subtle textures from different angles, complemented by a dark blue mesh lining beneath, creating rich skirt layering whether walking or sitting. The large dark blue bow behind the waist also beautifully filled the visual space on the back.
The lower body styling is a major highlight of this look. I selected sheer stockings featuring white vine-like dark patterns. Under studio lighting, this translucent material reveals natural skin tone while highlighting the white patterns sharply. Paired with the high-waisted miniskirt, this stocking outfit elongates the legs wonderfully. The shoes are gold crisscross stiletto heel sandals. The small gold star and heart decorations on the vamp are delightfully playful, and the high heels tighten the calf muscles, making the legs appear even longer and slimmer in front of the lens.
The studio set design incorporated water and ice elements. Several large transparent acrylic backboards were erected on-site to mimic ice sheets and mirror reflections. Soft, light blue drapes hung in the background, accompanied by crystal candelabra props on both sides, making the overall ambiance feel highly translucent. To capture the fluttering movement of the skirt and drapes, a small electric fan was used, requiring the photographer to constantly catch the precise alignment between the breeze and my poses during Cosplay photography.
Among the poses, I personally favor the seated compositions. Sitting on a cylindrical pedestal with knees slightly bent allowed the pleats of the blue and white dress cosplay skirt to drape naturally, while maximizing exposure of the white stocking patterns and gold heel sandals. The standing shot with arms stretched out emphasized fluid body lines, creating visual symmetry between sleeves and skirt hem. Meanwhile, the close-up holding the short sword prop with one hand aimed to showcase details of the hand and prop—the short sword, featuring a silver-white blade, gold bow handguard, and embedded purple gem, is a beautiful accessory in its own right.
Studio lighting was carefully tuned as light-colored garments easily overexpose or look flat. The key light used a soft softbox paired with blue and white rim lights to outline contours, preserving clear fabric textures on the white skirt while creating a cool, ethereal mood. Post-processing focused on color restoration and subtle body contour adjustments, ensuring the white gauze texture looked natural and the stockings didn't shift too blue. From preparation to final shoot, this Odette cosplay required significant effort on details, and seeing the character brought to life was a fascinating process.
