[Arcueid cosplay] This shoot brought to life Arcueid's classic design from Tsukihime. Discussing ideas with the photographer beforehand, I aimed for a girlish yet cozy, otaku-inspired vibe, leading me to hand-craft this pink-and-blue studio setting. From pink sheer drapes and plush floor rugs to scattered cupcakes, donuts, gift boxes, a replica golden scepter, and a gaming console, every prop was tailored to echo the dreamy, lighthearted atmosphere seen in Carnival Phantasm.

For hair and makeup, blonde locks were paired with her signature oversized blue bow, cat ears, and pink contact lenses. To evoke an authentic youthful charm, the wardrobe featured an oversized pink jacket layered over a blue-and-white paneled top and pleated skirt. During the shoot, special emphasis was placed on accentuating leg lines: over-the-knee Pink and white striped stockings paired with black high heels, or going barefoot across the rug, infused the frames with lively vibrancy.

The shooting process was quite intense, requiring constant transitions between prone, reclining, and seated postures on the floor while coordinating with the photographer's wide-angle lens perspectives. The shot lounging on the pink rug taking selfies while playing video games, as well as the close-up eating cake before the mirror, took substantial effort to nail the angles; I had to stay conscious of lens perspective shifts to ensure body proportions didn't warp under the wide lens. For the frames standing before the mirror, the photographer utilized reflections to expand spatial depth, achieving a dreamy visual impact.

Although I previously apologized that custom DIY styling might not be 100% faithful to official materials and scale, I am truly pleased with the overall mood and character presence achieved. The tall white stocking styling proved pivotal in this setting, striking a balance between 2D character purity and striking visual appeal. Post-processing leaned toward high exposure and soft focus, complementing the dreamy pastel tones of the Pink set design. This set served as a delightful challenge to my styling creativity, and alongside the photographer's ingenious ideas, we successfully showcased the character's intrinsic charm and sweet ambiance throughout a joyful shoot.
