This fanon rendition of Reimu Hakurei primarily revolves around the whimsical concept of fishing and goldfish. To fit this theme, I made extensive preparations in both costume presentation and prop coordination. The red-and-white outfit preserves Reimu's iconic elements while incorporating modern design touches. The sleeveless dark red dress is paired with delicate white lace borders and layered ruffles, while the oversized white split sleeves use a flowing, slightly sheer fabric. The golden fish prints on the attire and the red line details along the cuffs exude a remarkably refined texture under intense studio lighting. The giant red bow on top and the cylindrical red-and-white hair ornaments on both sides were also meticulously adjusted to maintain a three-dimensional shape even under raw camera shots.

Regarding the props and post-processing visual effects, the long rod in my hand was adorned with red-and-white tassels and origami, which, combined with digitally added swimming goldfish, aimed to maximize that ethereal, willing-catch mood. In the first photo, I intentionally pointed the rod toward a circular black area on the ground—that section was created by compositing a pure white background with a digitally synthesized black pool effect, where goldfish swim in the shadows to form a striking color contrast. The second photo delivers the most visually arresting frame of the set, featuring me holding the prop high with one hand, surrounded by a swarm of vibrant orange-red goldfish. Such visual impact actually places high demands on physical poise during the shoot. Because the outfit has numerous layers—especially the large furisode sleeves, which easily absorb light or look bulky when posing—I had to constantly maintain arm extension, leveraging exaggerated silhouettes to balance the visual weight of the frame. The instant I lifted the prop, my shoulders and neck also needed to stay relaxed so the posture would appear natural yet imposing. In the third seated shot, I sat cross-legged on the ground, where red-and-white ribbons intertwined with goldfish to evoke a softer, more intimate lifestyle ambiance. Walking around and posing in the studio wearing White stockings and black platform shoes accented with red printed bows caused some soreness in the soles of my feet, but these efforts were entirely worthwhile to elongate leg lines and overall body proportions.

Against the pure white studio background, the lighting setup eliminated redundant shadows, fully accentuating the saturation of the red and the purity of the white. Although the original photo background was completely pristine, the screen-full of goldfish was meticulously cut out, arranged, and blended with adjusted brightness and contrast from various angle shots. To infuse vitality and airiness, I slightly boosted the color saturation of the goldfish and processed partial translucent trails so they appeared to swim freely through the air. This fusion of live-action photography and heavy post-processing effects bridges the two-dimensional design into a tangible, three-dimensional visual masterpiece. The generous use of negative space further concentrates the viewer's gaze on the subject and these floating creatures, achieving the ideal state of Gensokyo in my heart.
