The location for this shoot was set before the lakeside shrine torii at Erhai Lake, where lighting angles were carefully deliberated. To capture the lively spirit of Hakurei Reimu fanon concepts, I chose a modified red-and-white Shrine maiden outfit, completed with signature wig styling and a gohei wand prop. Intense water glare and strong lakeside breezes challenged both posture stability and candid expressions. We used reflections off the water alongside the towering torii as foreground elements to make the central subject pop. Post-processing focused on balancing sky blues and shimmering ripples to preserve crisp clarity. Avoiding rigid forward-facing poses, I integrated turning-back glances and gentle water-skimming gestures for added dynamism. The vastness of Erhai Lake complemented the red-and-white palette effortlessly, evoking Gensokyo's mythical essence without heavy artificial sets in a faithful Touhou Project portrait.
