From settling on the dark theme for Jeanne d'Arc to preparing costumes, customizing props, and scouting locations, the entire process took nearly two months. To faithfully recreate Jeanne d'Arc's concept from Fate/Grand Order, we deliberately opted for a dark Gothic set design. The silver armor headpiece took a long time to polish the details, and the fabric for the purple top was chosen after comparing several options. The most demanding part of the whole outfit was this set of metallic faulds and gauntlets—they were remarkably heavy, severely restricting mobility once worn. Even turning around had to be done slowly, and just standing to pose for a few minutes had me sweating profusely. The contrast of black stockings paired with metallic leg armor is striking; to keep the leg lines looking long and slender in the frame, I repeatedly adjusted high leg lifts and standing stances, which truly put my core strength to the test. The skulls, iron chains, candles, and crosses in the background were all assembled in advance, taking about three hours to arrange alongside the fog machine. The first side-profile pose holding the massive banner required immense arm strength—the flagpole was solid, and holding it one-handed while keeping a relaxed facial expression made my hand tremble uncontrollably. The second over-the-shoulder shot was taken candidly during a break; the candlelight diffusing from the background was just right, casting a soft glow across my face. The third seated pose among the pile of skulls was actually exhausting—the uneven ground meant keeping my head tilted back toward the chains above relied almost entirely on core and abdominal support. The fourth shot was a standing pose carrying the lance directly on my shoulder, which I feel captured the most imposing presence. Throughout the shoot, the photographer constantly adjusted the single-side spotlight to accentuate the metallic reflections. The overall ambiance was oppressive and solemn, perfectly matching the character's demeanor. Although the process was grueling, seeing the final photo set brought immense fulfillment—the thorough preparation truly paid off.
